    Hi,

I am having my op on Sunday admission 12:00pm

I know this is a really random question but when I go down to surgery will the person who is waiting for me be taken straight away to the waiting room. Bit random but my ex is taking me and I am just worried when i get taken down he will be able to go through my bags and my phone…

Also, do the nurses help to dress you after? Again I dont know who will be taking me based on the answer to the above question however if it ends up being my dad it will be really awkward if he has to dress me??

    Thanks, in advance. xxx

    Hi Sam,

I had my op in Preston nearly 3 weeks ago. When I went down the nurse came to get me to walk to theatre and my Mam was left in the room (with all bags etc.) and she actually stayed there in the majority of the time and popped to get a cup of tea etc but was back in the room when I got brought back in. I don’t think staff are in any urgency to get the person straight to the waiting room.

You’ll be in bed in your gown for as long as you need to be, I was there about 3 hours after surgery before I was allowed to leave and only when your allowed to leave will you get ready. The nurse did ask me if I needed any help getting dressed but I preferred my Mam to help me anyway so I wouldn’t worry about that, the nurses will definatly help you get dressed if that’s what you want. Hope this helps xxx

Awwww hunny tricky situation. Put a new pass code on your phone. One he wont know. Bit bad you think he’d do something like that. Ask him to wait in the waiting room. My partner walked down with me and then went into the waiting room as could get brews. He also went and sat in the car to have something to eat. Xx
