    Hello!! im just wondering if anyone could possibly tell me, how long in advance do you have to book your op? is it true that u have to wait about 6 months from your consultation? im only ably do it in january really and havent yet gone for a consultation! i keep putting it off!! also, im from cardiff, does everyone have to travel all the way to london for their op or do they do them in the city?
    any answers would be really appreciated :) i need to stop putting off the consultation!!

    Hi, I dont think theres a big waiting list as from what I was told the op its self is only 45 mins. When you have a consultation with a surgeon you could book it as soon as 2 weeks after the consultation. I think the normal procedure is to have a consultation with a patient co-ordinator first then you book to see the surgeon. I would ring MYA and see if maybe they could do your first consultation over the phone as you have a long way to travell! I know they have clinics in manchester and doncaster too but not aware of any others. Im hoping to get mine done Feb or ideally Jan, just depends how well I save! xx

    I had my consultation in the cardiff clinic and unfortunatley u do need to travel to london for ur op xx i’m avin mine done in 9 days :) xx

    Hi hun,
    I had a consultation in cardiff,
    then went to see a surgeon in London on Sat the 26th September then had the op on the 10th of October.
    You do have to have the op in London as they dont operate anywhere in wales however the only reason I went to London to see the surgeon was because the surgeon i wanted doesnt do consultations in cardiff.

    Hi hun i only waited about 2 weeks for consultation, it was in july i think, the end of july, saw surgeon 3 weeks later and had op done a week ago, so the waiting list isnt too long…my friend phoned up this monday just gone and has an app next mon!! x x
