Hey girls,
I’m 2WPO today, and 2 days ago my incision on my right started bleeding. Been to see the nurse today and she’s emailed pictures to my surgeon (Dr mounir) and she’s called me back saying I have to go back to the First Trust hospital in Preston to see Dr Traynor as Mounir isn’t available tomorrow.
They basically need to check it to make sure it’s not a hematoma.
Has anyone been through this and how did you know if it was? I’m freaking out incase they need to operate again as i hated the experience.
Any reassurance would be very appreciated!xx

I literally just come back from fitzroy i was asked to go asap im 4 days post op an developed blood bruises an they ruled out hematoma,
Try not to panic.. They mentioned i need to fast before i left to go incase of emergency op. Its better to get checked, theres fair few symotoms of this an bruisin is common. Do you have any xx
My insision leaked blood x

Hey Beckie, have you got everything sorted?
I haven’t really got any bruises, all the main ones have started going as I’m 2 weeks now, and there’s nothing out the ordinary, maybe a little bit of swelling. The nurse didn’t seem overly worried but the surgeon wanted to see me just to be safe. They told me to fast tomorrow too which has made me even more worried!xx

Yeah they said to me to fast at 3pm when i just ate lol. I burst out crying on the phone panicin. They check just in case. If theres no bruisin dont worry to much.. Maybe start of infection if it stings. Just try not get anythin in the insition if its split. There is images online of what the hermatoma looks like. Should be ok hun xx
