I have really sensitive nipples now one week on! At first I couldn’t feel them at all they were so numb. My incisions are more tender since the nurse cleaned and redressed them? Is this normal? Or does it mean I could of pulled them a bit or they just healing? Sometimes itchy as well. Really hope they have healed by two weeks so I can have a normal shower and start the scarring process! .. any advice or ??? Xx

    these look amazing!
I can’t stop staring at them! Ha
I’m a bit confused cos I’ve seen a lot of people have their re-dressed and that they couldn’t have a shower still, I didn’t have mine re-dressed and I could shower straight away, she said go just let water fall naturally down you, use 0% shampoo and conditioner (herbal essences do one) and sanex 0% shower gel so you don’t irritate the skin and then just pat them dry. I don’t have a 2wpo appointment but maybe you normally get that if they decide to put dressings on still. I just have my 6wpo unless anything arises in the mean time.
Maybe it’s depending on how the scars are looking come 1WPO.
I’d follow her instructions and hopefully when you have them taken off again you’ll be able to.
    But they look cracking!
I also have a very sensitive right nipple, my god, I can’t explain it. My left is so numb though, cant feel a think, so I think my right is making up for it. Sometimes it drives me crazy having to wear a bra all the time! From underneath my nipples on both boobs though
I’m completely numb to touch. It’s weird and I don’t actually like touching my boobs there. Ha.
Happy healing though and hopefully you’ll have a shower soon!

@courtny aw thank you I can’t stop taking pictures and looking at the myself! So did you just get your plasters taken off at one week post on then? She said mine were healing really well …but obviously need more time what was your diet like? I think I need to eat more protein haha to help me! She said I have a 1 week, 2week , 6week and 12 week appointments to me. My boobs feel fine overall it’s just my incisions causing my bother when I touch them they are sore and tender.. I really don’t know I hope they are ok. I’m gonna give her a call today I think . She said my incision is already closed up and they look really good I hope she wasn’t lying now am worried & thank you I hope I heal very fast though haha xx

@demimae heya yeah I had my strapping removed and my plasters and then it was just left. My diet hasn’t really changed, I was eating a lot of pasta though for easinessfor the first few days after I was eating a lot of pasta but now I’m back to a normal diet with protein (I continued to take protein shakes) and just lowered my carbs a tiny bit cos I was so bloated. I’ve been taking vitamin c tablets and having kiwis as my nurse said vitamin c is good for healing. Maybe having your incision covered for an extra week may just be the preference of your surgeon? Xx

Maybe I didn’t have strapping just plasters.. So did yours get taken off after week 1? I think I just need to wait for mine to scab I’m gonna go buy some vitamin c tablets today then and see haha! Ans thank you babe really helped. Think one can always be more sore than the other depending what arm u use the most as well xx
