So had my 1 week post op check today, which is actually 8 days.
I’m such a worrier so I was majorly looking forward to seeing my nurse to see how things were going. She was great! She said the “square look” I’m worrying about is perfectly normal as it’s such early days!
I got to see my scars which I was really nervous about – and boy was I surprised!!! They are dark at the moment but very very neat, flat and I cannot believe how small they are!! Dr Fiumara has done a wonderful job with them, I am so pleased I chose her and I had read amazing things about her. One of my biggest fears was always an unsightly scar, but I really think that over time it will fade and the fact it isn’t huge was such a big comfort today!
I was cleared to drive too which is great as I am back in work tomorrow.
I have dressings on for another week and can’t shower just yet hopefully after my appointment next Wednesday. I still have to sleep upright but not quite as much as I have been (literally pole upright!) and my breast band has to stay in another 3 weeks.
Really happy after today.
Just HAVE to keep telling my self to be patient and wait for the girls to drop!!
