Hey girls, my operation is in 10 days and it is safe to say I am bricking it! It’s something I’ve always wanted so I’m excited however the thought of recovery with two kids is worrying the hell out of me. I have a 2 year old and a 9 month old so it’s kind of scary knowing they will need to be being picked up etc. They both sleep through all night however it’s just the thought of getting them out their cots, carrying them etc. I’m a nervous wreck!!! Has anyone had this surgery with children? And can anyone tell me any recovery tips? Xxxxxxx

    I’ve got 3
    My youngest is 18months
There is no way could I pick him up the first week so my Hubbie took the week off. I couldn’t push the pram for 2weeks so the 2nd week my mum help. After that I was fine, I was just very careful xx

I’m wondering the same As I have 3 kids! My ba is just over 3 weeks! My 7 and 6 yr old isn’t too bad cause they are quite self sufficient! It’s my nearly 2 yr old is the one I’m worrying about! My husband has the first week off which is good! Just worrying about after! But still so excited to get it done!!

I have a 3 year old and a 9 month old. Hubby had the 1st week off after that I had to get back to it… the 3 year old was easy just told her I had a poorly tummy. My 9 month old luckily is very chilled little bit so not too needy but picking him up for feeds and nap was a struggle. Just take it slow up all the way to there level to pick them up and scoop them and keep them close rather than at arms length… try and do very little invetween for 1st few days leave chores until you’ve mastered the children xx

Hey, I have a 2 1/2 year old and I had to leave him with my mum for the first week as my partner works away from home. It was a little bit of a struggle the first few days I had him back but been ok since and I’m coming up 3wpo. It does hurt a little when they cuddle you as they love a squeeze. My son is now obsessed at the fact I know have boobs hahaha. I have had to lift my son a few times like wen he’s fallen asleep in the car which I always dread but it’s not as hard as you think… saying that I had overs. I ended up staying in my sons bedroom half the time so I was next to him and just kept him occupied so I could rest at the same time.

I’m having overs too so hopefully the healing will be slightly quicker than unders, that’s what I’m worrying about as well when he is in his car seat an having to get him out! I’m sure it will all be fine tho, I’m very excited only 3 an a bit weeks to go!! Xx

Thankyou so much girls x my boyfriend works away from home also so ill literally be on my own with them! They are in nursery so it will be ok In the day however I’m dreading getting them in and out the car, getting them out the cot, bathing them, getting my youngest dress etc – the list is endless 🙁 he has two days off with me that’s it! He’s going to try and get a few more off. It’s just a nightmare as it’s something I’ve always wanted but my fear of recovering with a small baby is very worrying! I am taking all your advise thankyou girls! And course Lisa I’ve just added you xxx

My son has finally figured to climb into the car and sit into his seat… as for getting him out I literally just hold one of his arms to help him swing himself round and he slides down and jumps out lol. The only way I could think of doing it. He feel asleep in the car a few times and I literally sat in the car like 45 mins and then I though I can’t keep doing this so I just wake him and get him to climb out. I feel so bad doing it but I know if I carry him I might end up doing damage to myself. With the little one I wouldn’t even know what to suggest apart from always having a buggy with you. Don’t stress too much over it… we are mummy’s and always figure out a way xxxx

    Hey @vee

I just had my breast augmentation 12 hours ago! I honestly feel fine.. I think it’s the awkward sleeping position that is the worst thing. I just woke to pop some cocodamol to hope it will knock me back out and help me sleep again. I guess it’s something I will get used to. Haven’t picked up the children (an almost 3 year old and a 8 month old). My 3 year old is quite self sufficient but I have recruited help from various people for the first 2 weeks. My mum from day 0-10 is living with me and my cousin from day 10-14. The nurse told me it’s just not worth the risk so try your best to get as much help as you can. Post 2 weeks I plan to let me 3 year old climb in/out of her own car seat etc. Just be conscious of your wounds, no matter how good you feel. I’m up and about already.. first 2 hours post op I stood up and went green ???? but now feel absolutely fine. Xx

Thanks girls!!! And good luck with your recovery? 🙂 literally the only person who can help me is my boyfriend and he will be going back to work a few days later 🙁 hopefully my mum will help me but she’s one of those she doesn’t really like it. She’s told me she wouldn’t be helping me because I’ve chose to waste my money etc. Not very supportive. We will see when the time comes everything may be fine (hopefully!) xxxxxxxxx
