So today is one day post op with Mr Traynor @ Preston hospital. My stats are 5ft 4 9st 8 pre op size 34A. I’ve had 400cc HP Partial my admission time was 8am and I was in theatre for 10.20am and back in my room by 11.30am.
I was amazed how one minute I was chatting away and the next I woke up with 2 nurses by my side saying it was done! I felt really tight and achy when I first woke up but not in pain which was really good totally manageable but decided to take ibuprofen anyway to make sure the pain didn’t start.
The nurses checked my blood pressure and temperature every half an hour 4 times and then left me an hour before checking again for the last time. In the mean time I was in and out of sleep plus eating my ham salad sandwich and having a cup of tea. The nurse also stayed with me when I stood up for the first time to go to the toilet.
When I first got dressed I came over really hot, sweaty, sick and dizzy so I sat next to the window for some fresh air and the nurse gave me a sick bowl just incase I was sick. Then after a bit more walking about to make sure I was okay I could go home!
So far the pain has stayed exactly the same I’ve been alternating ibuprofen and paracetamol with arnica and vitamins! The only thing I have struggled with is sleeping propped up as it’s hurting my lower back and making my bum numb ha!
I would totally recommend Mr Traynor he’s really nice and straight talking which to me is what I wanted as it’s your body and a big decision you need an assertive opinion. He also doesn’t use cocodomol and codine pain relief or drains so you have less chance of waking up feeling sick and in pain due to drains!
I’ll post pre op and post op pics when I get chance to take a post op pic but at the minute I don’t want to take my bra off!
