Hi girls! I’ve had a consultation with Dr Fuimara, I initially went in just wanting implants. She told me that I needed an uplift as implants and then two different sizes to balance asymmetry, and to have unders. I felt a bit worried though as she had me sign the end of consultation form, and when I read my copy, she didn’t discuss double bubble with me, something I think can be more common with unders. (the day I had my consultation, they were running about 50 minutes behind, and there was a private customer she had to see after me so I felt like my consultation was really quite rushed as it only lasted about 9 minutes, and the PC said she would call me to talk through my consultation, but hasnt done so yet, after she insisted i got my loan approved before meeting the surgeon.). Has anyone else had an uplift and implants done with dr fuimara? How was your recovery? The whole consultation experience has me thinking of going somewhere else as there was a woman in the waiting room shouting she had nothing but problems using MYA. I really appreciate any advice any of you have!

Always seek a second opinion Hun elsewhere. I was told I needed a uplift on my right boob , seeked opinions from 2 other places ,and turns out I didn’t need a uplift at all . I’m not with mya . I’m booked in elsewhere for in 4 weeks time . I’m having a big implant too 🙂 xxx

Hiya Fern linda was my surgeon I had a mini uplift and 325cc implants. They must have been extremely busy that day because in general I know she is very thorough. I saw her three times before my op (initial consultation -shock of being told I need an uplift, 2nd- to discuss why and what the proceedure involved and 3rd to double check post op bras and sizes ordered)

It can be quite scary to be told an uplift is advised and depending on your circumstances and inital shock it can be quite distressing.

When I told my friends many laughed it off and said I didn’t need it nor should I bother. I felt silly for considering it but after quite a bit of research and seeing linda again to explain in more detail I understood why she advised it. Tbh my mates had not seen my boobs without a push up bra or bikini so they couldn’t see plus I thibk a lot of women naturally have a sag or droop it’s not an issue for some or some just can’t be bothered /afford to do anything about it

I had a slight droop it was very mild but had I gone ahead with the implants only (please note she refused to only do implants as she said the outcome would be terrible) my boobs would look exactly the same only larger, plus the weight of the implant would drag my nipples down further. I started to really look at them and take pics o realised one nipple was pointing down and facing the floor and the other I don’t even know it was in its own world.

Im 33 and have not got any children as yet. I’m naturally slender and had unders. From my knowledge it’s usually overs that have an issue with double bubble. If it helps check out realself.com or arrange a second consultation with linda or another surgeon.

I only had a mini uplift which involved lifting my nipples only. My scarring on my nipples is amazing they have healed 10x better than my actual incisions under my boobs which already still showing. I’m using kelo-cote-scar-gel-15g to help fade all the scarring and o honestly don’t regret my decision.

I always wanted linda as my surgeon because I has done quite a bit of research on her and compared her to the other more popular surgeons at mya. I contacted several of her patients on here ns instagram and I loved how natural the results were.

Tbh it’s definitely your choice at the end of the day and you need to ultimately go with your gut. Some surgeons may disagree with Lindas suggestion of an uplift some may agree. I personally thought it made more sense and was cost effective for me to have it all done in one go rather than wait another ten years (I had wanted a boob job since I was 23)

Everyone who I’ve seen after my op has been so supportive in my decision to have the uplift and after showing them my before ans afters they agree it was the right thing to do.

I’ll add you so u can have a look at my results plus before an after shots. Hope that helps fxx

I can’t comment about the uplift she has advised and the rushed appointment. But I know capsular contraction is more common in overs and double bubble more common in unders. I’ve been very happy with mya so far. Haven’t found them pushy in the slightest. Always been able to speak to someone. And have had all my appointments arranged in advance for post op visits etc. Yes the surgeon ran behind on a couple of appointments but that’s to be expected xx

@kxg96 Where are you ending up having your op hun? I just seem to have problem after problem at the moment! I booked to go see other surgeons who ended up canceling the initial consultations and I know it sounds silly but due to my job the next time I would be able to have it done would be in December/ January. I saw Dr Fiumaras results and knew I wanted her to do my op but considering going to her as a private patient instead of through MYA xx

@fran32 Thank you so much for your detailed reply hun has really helped. I managed to get a second consultation with Linda for today so hopefully can put my mind at rest. I really wanted her to do my op since seeing the results and know she is known for achieving a really natural look, which is why I reserved my date, but was just kind of disappointed when I met her, hope she was just having a bad day!!
I think I’d prefer having it all done in one go because of recovering twice etc, I have a huge list of questions for her but is there anything you would advise asking, the post op garments were something I was going to ask about as that hasn’t been mentioned at all yet.
I think its more my pc im unhappy with.
Linda is obviously a professional and amazing at what she does,I trust her if she says I definately need an uplift as obviously its her job and she wants the best result possible. Thank you so much for all the info I really appreciate it hun and seeing your before and afters are amazing!! you must be so pleased! was there anything she advised you do or not do before your surgery? xx

Hey Fern ur very welcome hun! I am really pleased I pinch myself everyday so happy I went through with it. I’m conscious of them looking fake and even told a bunch of girls in the toilets on Saturday night just gone that they were fake as they were really complimenting my boobs in a body I was wearing. I just felt like I wanted them to know it’s not natural lol silly I know but it really helped me as they couldn’t believe they were implants due to how natural they sit.

Dr Fiumara just advised not to take ibroprofen and to cease some of the supplements I was taking about two weeks before surgery
I figured out I’d stop yoga for a few months before too. Yoga isn’t allowed three months post op as it uses so many upper body muscles and I just thought well pre op I don’t want to be too tight. I haven’t worked out since last July! I enquired about supplements but got tht off my own research. I took magnesium, zinc, vit c and iron via feroglobin tonic as I have circulation issues and blood issues. I didn’t want to catch a cold prior to the op and working with teenagers I usually get the flu before Xmas but I was fit as a fiddle last year!

I was glad I didn’t because I didn’t feel any pain just slight discomfort. I also made sure to moisturise my boobs even more as I anticipated stretching. I already had stretch marks on my boobs but no word of a lie they have practically vanished. Dr Fiumara did show me how the implants would affect my skin by stretching and she was right. The implants have helped to balance and stretch out the volume I’ve lost over the years.

I really hope your consultation went well hun as she’s amazing and I really am happy with her. I opted for a winter operation as I’m a teacher and couldn’t just get time off plus it helped to be layered up whilst healing.

Hope that helps u hun and if u have anymore questions please feel free to get in touch fx

    So sorry forgot to add….
Dr Fiumara prefers a crop top as ur post op bra. I bought a ton of different ones and on the day she chose the cheapest and most basic! Which was a sloggi crop top from John Lewis it was like £13 I got it two band sizes up to accommodate swelling.

I’d just ask her really about the sizes and projection. Let her know about your lifestyle ie. If you work out a lot, plan to have kids etc and the look you are going for. I just wanted to be quite modest but boob greed crept in and I opted for 25cc larger with her approval if she could get them in my body as she had reccomended 25cc smaller as my highest size xx (I ended up mod plus 325cc in both)
