Okay girlies, honeymoon period is coming to an end. I did not sleep one wink last night!!! i have a v- pillow and about 10 scatter cushions and pillows of different sizes to make a comfy nest but I CAN’T SLEEP sitting up no matter how comfy the nest is!! My bum gets sore, then my upper back and neck started aching, trying to move at all involves using my arms and in turn pectorial muscle which is a big no-no. So I was just stuck in an aching scenario for 8 hours and to top it off….
Hubby slept like a baby lamb!! snoring rythmaticaly at my side all through the night grrrr. at some point just as i was getting nearer to the nodding off stage he did a big involuntry yawn and stretch in his sleep nearly punching be in the right boobie. I am sensing bedtime troubles ahead 🙂
And finally the torture of the super tight braziers, OMG they are the most uncomfortable contraptions i have ever experienced in my life. I wore the Macom i-bra (£50 eherm the mother of all bras) i could only stand it for 2 hours post op, it was really hurting near my incisions. So that got eased out of and M&S zippy came on, felt great in comparison to Macom, but by midnight last night it was giving me rib pain, inscion pain, inbetween boobies pain. I am now sitting for 30 mins perfectly still, unzipped and free !! wonderful! I am psyching myself up to strap the bad boys back in 🙁
So please boobie gurus, please share any tips that you found helped you through the night time woes early on, very much appriceated
Aww i feel your pain! I had my op done on monday and at the moment im sleeping in my mothers on one of those reclining beds and suprisinly last night i only woke up once, but that was because i managed to lye flat and was an absolute agony lol
Im not looking forward to going home and sleeping in a normal bed. 🙁
Im finding this the most painfull part! Like you my back is sore and my bum from the sleeping! The boob pain is totally fine lol..
Id be greatful for any tips too 🙂
Happy healing hun xx
Hi Becki! I found that the argos backrest was the best ting ever for sleeping! I had a V pillow at the back of me and then a pillow under my knees to alleviate any pain from my back and bum and it was amazing!. A lot of us girls swear by it so might be worth giving it a go! I also found if I had any back pain that a hot water bottle was really soothing too xxx
Thanks Dannii, I havent heard of the backrest, but i am sending my hubby out to get one today, good tip about putting a cushion under the knees aswell. What about the bras, did you leave yours unzipped for any length of time or do you think its really important to wear it 24/7.
Victoria lucky you for now sleeping on a reclining bed would be ace, you can adjust it to whatever angle you want. You are day 3, have you had an emotional day yet, or are you still feeling buzzin, how are you finding the bras, do you have a favourite xxx
i am soooooo happy with the size and shape of my new boobies so any discomfort is deffo worth it in the long run. happy healing to you x
No problem! I’d leave myself unzipped or just take the bra off for half hour a day! It’s nice to have a rest and I had full strapping then a Macom on top so it’d be nice to breathe! xx
Hi becki, yes i am lucky at the moment with the bed and my mum to help. Tomoro my daughter comes back from her dads and i go back to normal! Ha, ive not had an emotional day yet. But im sure i will experience a few! Im still feeling that they are the same size before op and just super swollen so i cant wait for them to start growing! At the moment im wearing the m&s bra its so comfy but i didnt buy the right size. My surgeon and nurse were pulling at it to try and streatch it lol. New one should be hear today and should feel less tight! Over all im really happy with how everything is going! The sickness has gone and the pain is fine aslong as i keep up the meds!
How are you today? How are you coping with everything hun? Xx
