Hi girls. So I’ve been for my first consultation in Newcastle today and met Julie my PC. Answered all the questions I had and really was so helpful! My meeting with her today just made me want to go ahead with the surgery even more than I first thought!!! (And trust me, I’ve wanted this done since I was 18, I’m now 21!)
I’m now looking to arrange my next appointment to see Dr Traynor before going ahead and booking the surgery.
Few questions for those girls that have already had the process done….
1. Overall, how did you find the surgery and recovery? (Those who had unders)
2. How did you decide on what size Sports Bra to go for for Post Op?
3. Did you find for the whole of 1 week Post Op that you struggled to do pretty much anything at all? Or did this feeling only last a few days?
4. Does anyone reccomend those V-pillows for recovery?
5. How long do you actually have to sleep up-right for before you can start sleeping normally again?
Hopefully looking to get surgery booked for early Aug so I’m all ready and recovered for my Hol to Oz in December! ???? Exciting times ahead.
Any feedback from any of you girls would be so much appreciated!! Xxx
Recovery affects your mood so much but within a week I wasn’t up and about as normal. It’s hard work but as long as you have a good support you’ll be fine!
I suggest the Macom as it fits all bra sizes! M&S are cups and I had no idea what I was. You can work it out a bit easier after surgery if this is what you wish to get.
I struggled the worst for the first 3 days, I could do minor things myself but even pulling my underwear down and up again took 2 minutes lol. After day 3 it was slightly easier to do things for yourself but not completely. I was driving again from POD8 so you do get there in the end! I just tried to keep moving as much as I could to get my muscle back to normal but obviously don’t over do it!
V pillows are good if you’re planning on sleeping in bed. I had a back rest but I only used it when sleeping on the sofa as it just didn’t work on my bed at all!
You have to sleep upright for 4/6 weeks which is hard but you’ll get used to it!
Good luck girl x
Thanks Amy. I’ll bear the Macom one in mind & perhaps leave the M&S one until later down the line.
Yeah I know they do say to keep active within reason/limits to keep your muscles working.
Your message in itself is so much help – thanks Amy! X
I lived in my Macom for the first week. It’s hard to guess what size you will be so it’s the best option really. After a week you can pop into an M&S and get measured for another sports bra but just remember they will swell up and then reduce again.
I was just making sure I got myself dressed and little things like that to keep moving but I made my grandparents do everything else for me lol.
I’m only a message away if you need anything x
Yeah that’s a point. Do you just buy the Macom Bras from the Clinic? That’s one thing I didn’t ask about today.
When did you have your Op and which Surgeon did you choose? X
Ah fab – I’ll have a look at that today! I’ve seen a lot of people ordering the next back size up to allow for the swelling etc. is that something you did?
Aww bet you’re chuffed to bits with your new set!!!
Hope you’re recovering well x
I bought my actual back size and was alright. Depends on how you want it to fit really. The cups of the bra accommodate a lot of the swelling due to the material. I guess it would depend on what size implants you have. Mine were only 350 so I got away with it. I reckon if you had a lot bigger you’d need a bigger back size.
Recovery is so much easier after a week or so. You’ll be fine x
I’m still unsure what size I’m going to go for – at the moment I’m so out of proportion with my body, wanting something that’s natural looking that’s more suited to my figure. Going to get the Surgeons advice and go from there. Did you get unders? X
Have you had your surgeon appointment yet? During mine I told him what I was after and he then suggested some sizes to me which tried on. He actually offered me 300/325 but I’d already seen pictures of girls with 350 that started off the same size as me so I asked for that and he agreed. The surgeon will definitely help you. I would have suggested looking at other girls that started similar to you and see what they had and what they look like post op but it’s so different from girl to girl. Other girls that have 350 look completely different to me!
Yeah I have unders x
I’ve got my surgeon appointment booked for 4th May.
I’ve been looking what other girls have had that were my size pre-op, but like you say the results from girl to girl are so different, even those that were the same size pre-op and all intended on the same result. Ideally, I’d like to be a C/absolute maximum a D. Realllllly don’t want that fake look at all. Hoping the surgeon will clear it up for me and steer me in the right direction! It’s just a little scary to think how much they change over the weeks. As read so many forums where some girls are happy with them within the first few weeks, then as they change they begin to dislike them! Aaaaah guess will have to wait and see what’s it’s all about in few weeks time. As nervous as I am, just as much excited!! X
All you need to do is tell him that and he will suggest what implant will be best for that desired look. I just went in and said I want the biggest you’ll give me lol. I’m like a D/DD now! But you also need to remember they don’t look like the size they measure. Mine look like a C/D but measure a D/DD as implants measure bigger.
The whole love hate relationship with them is just something’s you have to deal with as well. The first few weeks are the toughest so I just refused to look at them in the end lol but I’m beginning to love them again x
Oh really! Wasn’t aware of that. I’d be 100% happy with that if that were the case with me. I’m just as flat as a pancake now so any size would be an absolute relief haha. Yours look amazing though, I’d be absolutely over the moon getting those results!!! X
Yeah it’s weird lol. Honestly it’s the best feeling having boobs. Thankyou babe. Let me know if you need anything else x
