Need some advice on training/gym after my op!! Started by: Emily

    So i train 4/5 times a week, cardio and weights and have been told no exercise for 6 weeks post op!! It’s gunna kill me not being able to get in the gym ha! Just wanted any advice and opinions on whats best after surgery.. and how long it took you girls to get back in the gym afterwards? xx

    Hi Emily, hope you don’t mind me jumping on to your question, I hear what you say about the gym, I’m the same. My thoughts are I’ll give it the full 6 weeks for any upper body then start slowly. As for lower I’m thinking 3/ 4 I will have to ask too when it’s my turn. X

    That’s what I was thinking Claire, might start with just light weights on my legs and light cardio around 3 weeks post op depending how I’m feeling… and then just work my upper body in when I feel strong enough. But I’m worried if I do it too quick something might go wrong! 🙁 when you having your op? Xx

    I know, that’s why I thought I’d take my time, it will drive me mad. But on the other hand after spending magga bucks on the BA I don’t want to have any more probs then needs be. My op isn’t till 25th July, when you in. X
