I’ll be 6 weeks po next Thursday. I’m missing the gym soooooo badly and am desperate to get back. I’ve put on a little weight since my ba and don’t feel toned in the slightest anymore.
My spin classes and body blitz classes fall on a Monday and Tuesday night. Do you think I’d be ok going back next week? I’ll be 5 weeks and 4 days post op then and really really want to start going back to some classes or should I be safe and wait till I’ve had my 6 weeks check up and go the week later? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks 🙂 xxx
I’d check with your nurse and your PC and see what they say Hun, it’s not worth risking your lovely new boobies for the sake of a week though so definitely get professional advice as what might of worked for one girl on this forum won’t necessarily work for you. A MYA professional will be able to advise based on your personal progress and will know if it’s safe for you xx
Thanks @Maddie I thought the exact same thing I don’t want to go through all this then mess up the recovery process for the sake of not asking or waiting a week I’m just so desperate to get my arse back in that gym but like you said it’s not worth the risk without double checking first. I’d check with your nurse however I did go to spin after 4-5 weeks, I stuck with cardio. It did ache a bit leaning down on the bars but by the end of the week I felt fine tbh! Just take it easy if you do go and ease yourself in!! I started back with leg weights at 6 and have just started upper body weights this week at 7 🙂 I had unders as well xx
Thanks @Nic I’ll call the nurse tomorrow and double check if I’m alright to go Monday night. That’s reassuring that you went at 4-5 weeks I thought I’d be ok as it’ll literally be a few days before 6 weeks po but don’t want to go and end up messing anything up. I just can’t take the no gym thing anymore all my hard work previously seems to have gone out the window and feel really poo.
you sound like you’ve done so well and you’ve eased yourself back into which is the best thing to do. I had overs too so if you were fine and having unders I should be ok. Thanks so much for your advice I’ll still double check, hope she says it’s ok getting really excited about going to the gym and getting my sexy back lol! Xx.
Hey babes. I’m having surgery in 12 days and I’m dreading being out of the gym. I currently do 8/9 classes a week and spin at least 4 times a week. Don’t know how il cope with 6 weeks out! My nurse was adamant I need to have 6 weeks out even from spin. I know I’m going to struggle bad 🙁 let me know how you get on honey going back to the gym. Bet you can’t wait! Take it easy though lovely, isn’t worth doing any damage! Xx

Oh babe honestly it’s driving me mad not being able to go. The first few weeks you don’t really care you just focus on healing and looking after yourself and the twins lol but since I’ve been feeling 100% back to normal I’m itching to go back. Was finally starting to see progress after killing myself at the gym for so long and feel like it’s all gone in a matter of weeks.
I’m not going to go back without the ok from the nurse like you said there’s really no point going this far then messing it up for the sake of a week longer.
Of course I will, I’ll let you know if I go Monday and what it’s like although whenever I start back I’m taking it super easy as anything is better than nothing. Xx
