    Pre Op
So, after 10 years of wanting this done I finally took the plunge to vist someone back in May this year, I saw people at Transform & Mya – Didn’t like Transform, felt like a number rather than a patient, so opted with Mya, my patient co-ordinator was the lovely Hannah Gibson. In total I saw 4 surgeons, I decided on Dr Chantarasak because he focuses on what I hated about my natural boobs, nothing in middle, wide and all at side, he was a man of litle words, but those he spoke made sense.

My best friend Aimee (who now lives 130 or so miles from me) had the same insecurities about her boobs as me and became a part of my journey too, she too decided on Dr C, op on the same day at Highgate

Weeks before the op all those questions you drive yourself mad with kept cropping up, what size, what implant, what to take etc, and honestly this forum proved to be a god send, answered all I needed and so many girls on here are so so lovely, Reg7, Jellybean, Tina, Princess to name just a few, thank you to u all ur support has been amazing! xx

4 Days prior to op – Admission Time Given 8am eeeeeeeeeek!!

    Day Before the Op
Time off work booked, Bag packed, Nerves kick in! My best friend arrived early evening on the Monday to stay at mine, we decide to have a mass pig out for our ‘last supper’ a massive chippy ensued nooooooooooooooom!!!! went to bed early as we had to leave at 5.30am to give plenty of time to get to London from Basingstoke.

    Day of the Op
OMFGGGGGG!! I wake up in disbelief really that the day has finally come, I’m always someone whose never thirsty but was craving drink grrrr damn brain games! We arrived early at the hospital 7.15am so had plenty of time, me and Aimee were ecstactic to see they’d put us in conjoining rooms (how great is that) so we had each other to stare at hahaha! We were visited by a nurse who asked a million and one questions, made us do pregnancy tests (eeeek relief it was negative) and weighed and measured us (I weighed less than i thought, and after that chippy the nite before – BONUS :D) we were then given our sexy gowns and even sexier stockings (twit twoo) and the piece de la resistance, PAPER PANTS! hahaha, the anaestatist then came in to see us, and we were then frequesntly visited by a lovely nurse called Irmina, so chatty and lovely!! Dr C then came in to measure me up, I ordered natrelles in both soft touch and responsive as well as cui in 365’s and told him to choose, he decided to go with responsives, however i was pretty annoyed when he called from the theatre 5 mins later to say responsives hadnt arrived so i will discuss this with the coordinator as this wasnt mine or Dr. C’s fault, so he went ahead with the soft touch.

I got called down about 10.15, my stomach almost dropped to the floor and i started shaking, and cried a little in anaestectic room, however they were lovely and we chatted about football and next thing i knew i was asleep and waking up, apparently my best friend came to see me as I was coming round (she was due in next eeek) but I didnt remember bless her, she was upset and i was like a drunk passed out hahaha! I remember looking down and thinking thank god, my dreams where i’d imagined waking up to 2 tropical coloured beach balls didnt happen

As Aimee went in I was wheeled back to the room and slept for a while, I woke up when Aimee came back, and also kept asking my fella about his trip to the pub??? (god knows why) hahaha but spent majority of day in and out of sleep. Finally had some lovely soup and immense white choc and strawberry cheesecake Because we were day case, we decided to leave about 4pm, we were never rushed, could have left when we wanted, staff were wonderful at Highgate.

We then (well our fellas did) drove only 1.6 miles to stay at the Roseview Hotel, which was lovely however that was the longest drive ever, so many road humps and potholes!!! the pain i had wasnt bad pain, more a real dull ache on my ribs and lower boobs, here we got comfy and began the sleeping upright, wasnt so bad to start with, FAMOUS LAST WORDS!!! The men got us KFC’s nom and we went to sleep.

Sleep since then has been intermittent, every couple of hours, i cannot stress how much I didnt expect the sleeping upright to affect me, for me this has been the worst part of the op, and I swear to anyone, Vincent the V Pilow and Hary the Hot Water Bottle have become mates for life

    Post Op – Day One
Woke in hotel, very stiff, but just wanted a snack and to get home and to remove the itchy bandage and see what hid underneath!
The drive wasnt good more bumps and bumps!
However got home in one piece and was very happy, I had to close my eyes at first as was scared to look but considering it was day 1 i was chuffed! they didntg look fake or massive, just right for my frame, there was quite a bit of blood on the patch under right boob and not much on left so decided to keep an eye on that.

Put the macom on, ick, hate it, very restrictive but kept it on! At this point I was feeling fine and got my appetite back, hence I had another chippy (Nom) I love chips, thewn went to bed. That nite was hell! sleeping upright is hell hell hell! Boob pain/ache bearable, sleeping upright back pain and bum ache arrrrrrrrrrgh!!

    Post Op – Day Two
Well I woke up and apart from the back and bum ache, felt quite ok in myself, ribs and lower boobs had a dull ache but bearable however this didnt last, after an hour I came across all nauseous and well I threw up 4 times, not good I was scared Id rip my stitches, scared becuase it was my first day on my own and basically scared in general. I called the clinic and spoke with the nurse, threw up whilst speaking to her too, oh the shame, she then advised me to stop taking the painkillers and to take paracetamol and ibuprofen instead. I was scared to swallow anything by this point but luckily after this call, I moved my v pillow to the settee and removed the restrictive macom bra where I fell asleep for some time.

I woke up and my bloke had just got home from work, worried as I hadnt replied to him all afternoon, I had a mini melt down then, and bless him he waited hand and foot all night, the meltdown I think was more the being scared, being sick and feeling alone that day, not the boob pain, as said before it was the back pain from the sleeping distressing me most. I then fell asleep in the evening at about 9/10 and didnt wake til 7am the next day – Obviously needed.

Post Op – Day Three – Today
Woke up at 7am hungry (always a good sign for me haha)
however Id slept thru the night :D, the settee, Vincent V Pillow and Harry Hot Water Bottle got me thru it! After some toast although still strangely tired am far better than yesterday, back ache still remains but is being helped and even boob ache has gone down, a little pulling though, but have managed to get the macom bra back on too! Also managed to have a little baby wipe wash and brush my hair so feel a little more human.

Came on here to lots of lovely messages from lots of girlies, including one from the Mya Mod offering help shud I require, thank you Mod! The nurse also called to check on me too and was happy to hear I sounded better and not throwing up down the fone to her this time. :S

Blimey I’ve rattled on, I am sorry, but hopefully it’s an insight for you all, any questions do let me know, I’m now simply resting on the settee watching boring daytime tv so need the company

I shall update this as often as I can!

    Hugs Jo (Crampyxx) xx
