So Ive wanted a BA for about 12 years but something or one has always stopped me, my turn yesterday had 380 unders with mr kazzazzi at park hill in Doncaster. My taxi arrived at about half 11, on the way the hospital rang to see if I could get in earlier, as it happened the taxi was about half an hour early so I would be. Arrived at 1 and waited a few minutes in reception for someone to take me to my room. Someone came to book me in she was lovely and we were chatting. Mr k cane in and drew lovely pictures on me with felt tip and went through the consent forms again. I put the sexy paper knickers and stunning White socks on with my op gown. Then the anaesthetist came in and asked me a few questions, explained what he would do etc. I was supposed to be first on the pm list and go down at half 2 but for some reason it was changed round and I went second at about half 4, I just read magazines and watched tv in the room, txted a few friends. Walked to theatre, cannula in hand bit of a joke with the anaesthetist and nurse and next thing I was waking up in recovery. I was in agony, they gave me 3 different painkillers as nothing seemed to work, they were really good. When I’d settled a bit I was taken back to the ward, they put an oxygen mask on as I’d had different opiates. As I arrived back on the ward my boyfriend arrived to see me, I was mortified I hadn’t had time to put any make up on or change into my pjs lol, I was in no fit state anyway. After a bit I felt much better, my boyfriend left and they brought me a pot of tea and a sandwich. A bit later on I asked for another pot of tea but it knocked me sick, they brought me anti sickness meds and then some more painkillers. I went to sleep and they came and did my obs again during the night. This morning I woke feeling much better I had normal painkillers, anti biotics and a lovely breakfast. Mr kazzazzi came to see me then my drains were taken out and they sorted my discharge out. The whole experience was fine, all the staff in the hospital were fantastic and couldn’t do enough [:-)] I’m sore now but nothing intolerable, I should have done this years ago! Thank you to everyone at mya and park hill hospital and of course everyone here for their support [:-)] xxx
