Hey girls, I have my op booked for May 18th which i’m soo excited/nervous for. I haven’t decided on a size yet but we are thinking around 275cc/300cc HP under the muscle, hoping this gets me to a C/small D.

Recently, I’ve been reading a lot into implants and the risks associated and have seriously stressed myself out but it’s thinks that my surgeon didn’t include as a ‘risk’ post op. So I’m sure lots of you would have come across Breast Implant Illness (BII) at some point, at first I didn’t think much of it but then I would come across this everywhere.

I didn’t know that silicone implants were taken off the market for 14 years for being unsafe but now the same ingredients can be seen in the new ones, I didn’t know that they are toxic to your body and slowly deteriorate your health. Some reports say that you body never accepts the foreign object in the body and your immune is constantly fighting it, which explains why the scar tissue thickens over time and can develop to CC. My surgeon actually told me that I will need to replace them every 10-15 years because they will never last a lifetime.

I am not saying that this will/can happen to everyone, but I didn’t have a clue of how common BII was and so many women are now talking about it. As you can imagine I’m really having second thoughts, I’ve wanted boobs forever because I’m so insecure in the body that I am in but is it worth putting my health at risk? xx
