Hi everyone, I am 19 and I am looking to have a breast augmentation to fix my breast asymmetry (where one breast is 1 or more cup sizes larger than the other). However in my researching, I have come across ‘breast implant illness’ which causes you to develop Hashimoto’s thyroiditis which is an autoimmune disease. It has affected some people immediately, after 5 years, after 10 years, or sometimes it doesn’t affect you at all. However I’m very scared that if I go through with this that I could face that fate. Has anyone had this? Or not had this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
