My story…
Had my BA in highgate yesterday with Dr Adamo. Arrived at 8.30am and was going into theatre by 10.30am. It all happened pretty quickly. All the nurses and doctors were so lovely and kept me reassured the whole time. Dr Adamo was lovely and kept stroking my arm until I fell asleep by which point I thought “there’s no turning back now!” Started coming round about 11.30am so it was pretty quick, they took the tube out of my mouth and gave me an oxygen mask. Then I had uncontrollable shakes starting from my feet right up to my waist, I’ve had GA 3 times before for medical procedures and never experienced this before but the nurse reassured me that it was normal and she put a big tube of warm air under my covers. Eventually it stopped after about 30mins. I was wheeled back to my room around midday! All very surreal.
Had a lovely room and managed to eat some fruit and drank loads of water. Luckily I didn’t feel too sick like I have done in the past. My friend arrived back and we just watched tv and I ate yummy sweets to keep me going. When it got to 5.30pm I was really hungry so devoured a chicken dinner which was yum! Couldn’t believe how good I felt considering.
Left around 7pm and my friend drove me home. Set up camp on the sofa with my v pillow and duvet and eventually fell asleep around 12.30am. Woke up at 5.30am in a lot of pain. Unfortunately for me the only painkillers I can take are paracetomal 🙁 I have allergic reactions to the good strong ones! Anyway, I had some food, took some painkillers and fell asleep again for an hour or two. Feeling pretty good just really sore and swollen. The nurse said I had recovered well in the first day so my overall recovery should be fine 😉 I’ll keep you all updated on the next couple of weeks though. Have been hearing the gurgling noises from my boobs which is quite weird but I’ve heard that’s normal.
I’ll post some pics soon so message me if you want to add me and see them. I had 325cc overs from a small 34b. Should eventually be a big c, maybe small d.
