Hi Ladies,

Just had my BA yesterday. I had 12 Midday Admission but didn’t end up getting into surgery until about 3.30! Definitely take a laptop or tablet to play on as the TV in the room doesn’t work, and the room was also incredibly hot so take something light to wear just in case you get too warm. I took slippers but these weren’t necessary as they give you a pair of hospital standard slippers. I took my sports bra although Dr Singh said i didn’t need it, only if i wanted to use it. Went down to surgery, the anaesthetist was lovely as were the theatre technicians – all very friendly. As soon as the general anaesthetic hit i was gone and it felt like seconds later i was up again! Although it felt very quick although my partner said i was up there for about 1 hour and a half. They wheeled me back up no worries, the anaesthetic hit me hard but i was offered toast and OJ which was nice (unfortunately i brought it all back up about an hour later once i’d got outside – combination of heat, pain and anaesthetic probably didn’t help) I was only given antibiotics and ibuprofen – i saw someone else asked for co-codemol , i would highly recommend doing this as i’m in so much pain today and ibuprofen just isn’t touching it! I had to buzz a nurse as i didn’t know how long i needed to stay in the room after, she said until i’d urinated and just kind of left which i found a bit weird but potentially being at end of the day all the nurses seemed to want to get home. I went for a wee and was sooo happy i could leave the really hot room! I stayed in a hotel overnight which i’m really glad i did – Holiday Inn Regents Park. A 3 minute taxi ride or 10 minute walk, incredibly comfy beds and a 12pm checkout, parking for £36 for 24 hours. I would have no way been fit to travel the 2 hours home that’s for sure!

I went from a AAA tubular breast to a potential D cup with 400cc over high profile. I’m not loving how they look yet but i know in time they should settle down – currently they are still too pointy/tubular looking. I’ll keep y’all updated 🙂
