I have actually been a photographer all my life but strangely I have never seen one of these. It was called The Claw and was a little flexible tripod that could be used in a wide variety of applications.

We were relaxing around the fire one evening and we wanted to take a photo of the group of us. It was just beginning to get dark and the shutter speed was going to have to be slower to get the photo right. We needed a tripod. Also we wished to have the shot looking down on us instead of straight on. Wayne climbed onto a small ladder and rapped the Claw around a nearby tree branch, amazing!

He had the iPhone mounted on the Claw looking down at us and was sitting casually on his chair waiting until we were all ready to have the image taken. It was great! When we were all prepared ,he gave a count and pressed the button on the remote! Done, I was sold. No running and racing the timer while attempting to get into position.

I have since gotten my own and what is fantastic is that I got it even less expensive the he did on Amazon. I like Amazon. It is so simple to buy from them and they have exceptional shipping and return policies in case something goes wrong with the order.
