Patient Story

Why did you want the procedure?

I lost alot of weight a few years back through diet and exercise I just could not shift my love handles (flanks) it used to drive me crazy after my hard work you can imagine my frustration.
Why did you choose MYA?

MYA have a great reputation and my friend Lauren had Vaser about a year prior to me and her results were unreal and she had alot more areas than me so I knew it would be perfect.
How was your consultation?

Really straight forward my surgeon was straight to the point told me exactly what could be achieved and it actually really put my mind at rest.
How was the day of your procedure?

I traveled from Newcastle to Manchester, bless my twin brother for taking me not sure he really knew what was going on. Traveled down on the morning had the procedure and then traveled back that evening. You do leak (which is a good thing) so make sure you have dark clothes and they give you sheets to put down in the car, I was really sleepy so slept most of the way back.
How was your recovery?

I had my procedure on the Friday and back to work the Monday. They do know I had the procedure has its hard to hide the 4D vest garment which is thick but I only wore that for 2 weeks and then spanks (this is different for everyone) day 1 is the hardest as you have been leaking and feel abit faint. Day 2 I got my dressings changed and was nice to be checked over and the nurse say how good my results are.. following this I forgot all about it just got on with things. Started to exercise at 4 weeks but just light weights and still wearing spanks when i did, found I was comfortable to run until 6-8weeks but that is recommended anyway.
