I had to practically hound my doctors surgery for the auth for my BA.
Mya requested auth the day after my pre op with the nurse at the Newcastle clinic.
First it was just no, , then I had to go into the surgery and pay £10 for the letter” which can take up to three weeks”, that was fine cos it was three weeks till my surgery date.

I found that taking one of each, paracetamol and ibuprofen, every two hours is better to cope with the pain rather than waiting for the four hours in between each set. It seems to keep on top of the pain .
Have you tried ice packs? That helped me a lot with the hot swelling.

We stayed in the Marriott the night of my surgery. It’s a lovely hotel but the Room could’ve been better especially for the price. Not dirty or anything, just a bit tired and dated.
We have had a night in the premier inn at Preston earlier in the year and would recommend staying there instead.

Feeling a bit better today, went for a slow walk with hubby and the dog and I’m finding that moving about rather than sitting still is helping.

Had my op yesterday with Gary Traynor at Preston.
I was booked in for 11 am and it was about 5 when we left the First Trust. Couldn’t fault any part of the whole experience. ., the nurses,doctor, aneasthatist and surgeon were all brilliant !
I was fine last night and earlier today, but since tea time have gone downhill a bit.
