About me

Hi I’m Amy, I live in St.Neots, Cambridgeshire and I’m 26. I had a little boy 19 months ago and after breastfeeding him in left with ‘ski slopes/empty balloons! Im having breast augmentation but I also considered an uplift. I’ve been told I’m borderline uplift and I struggled to make my decision. I’ve been to London Fitzroy where Hannah is my patient co-ordinator and I’ve met my surgeon who will be Dr Marcellino. I would like to go to a DD from an empty (unmeasured c/d) and I have booked my surgery for Sunday 22nd May. I’ve been offered High profile overs starting from 350cc up to 450cc. My right breast is smaller and higher than my right so I will have different size implants in each breast and he will do his best to make them even. I’ve decided to go against an uplift for now as I don’t want the scars at a young age and my main reason is I want another child in the future and to be able to have the chance to breastfeed. Feel free to add me, I would love to hear from anybody else who’s story is similar to mine 🙂

Patient Story

Why did you want the procedure?

Hi everybody!

So my op was today and what a great experience! I arrived at 7.40am (10 mins late due to a delayed train) sat in the reception area and was called straight up. Changed straight away had bp, pregnancy test taken which was all good. Saw Mr.Marcellino who drew on me, took a picture and we decided either 400/425 in left boob and 450 for right side HP overs. He was very brief but I felt safe and he knew what I wanted. I am borderline uplift and he did say today that I needed one especially in my left side but I knew that before and I decided against it as I want the chance to breastfeed when I have another baby! I’m sure I’ll get a good cleavage with decent bras and high profile implants!

Then I walked down to theatre which is 2 mins away in the lift. Had a cannula put in and they asked me what my favourite alcoholic drink was then next thing I knew I was in recovery about 45 mins later (I think). I Felt good! I was hooked up to fluids which I think always helps you if you feel hydrated! Then I was wheeled back to my room and I transferred onto my bed. As I’m pain free it was hard not to use my arms but I just shuffled my bum. I had some water and a doze for an hour and they did my bp a few times and I’ve been up to the toilet, eaten, drank and I feel great! I’m really surprised and I am very happy with what I can see so far! I can definitely do things myself already and the nurses seem very happy with me. I’m just waiting for my mum to get here as she’s nipped to h&m to try and get me some zip up tops! Good luck to everybody having their op’s. Don’t be scared, your in great hands (I know easier said than done). I’m sure after I come down off the morphine etc I will feel the pain and the next stage of my journey starts now! I’ll try and answer questions, post pictures of my recovery so feel free to add me 🙂 Xxx
