Why did you want the procedure? |
I have always wanted big boobs for as long as I can remember. My mum and all my aunties (on both sides) have big boobs but I had the curse of the little boobs. I waited until I had passed 21 to make sure I didn’t suddenly have a growth spurt then realised they weren’t getting any bigger and started looking at surgery.

Why did you choose MYA? |
Originally I was going to go with birkdale clinic because two of my friends had their procedure with them and love their boobs. However I didn’t pay my deposit in time and the slot I needed for surgery (work reasons) was taken by someone else. I then found MYA online and booked a consultation the next day for me, Lauren was amazing, she explained everything so well and was so positive and easy to talk to, she even showed me her boobs which she had done by Mr Traynor, that was it then I was 100% sure I wanted MYA and Mr Traynor.

How was your consultation? |
Fantastic! I was so nervous on my way to see the surgeon just at the thought of getting my boobs out (which sounds silly considering the surgery I was getting). I arrived and Mr Traynor was making jokes and was so casual like “just go behind the screen and pop your top and bra off”, which helped me feel like this is nothing to him and I relaxed. He was very very informative, I had a tonne of questions which he answered before I even got the chance to ask! I told him I’d like to be a double dd which would have only been 300cc implants and he advised I get 500s, THANK GOODNESS I listened to the expert! I would of been devastated any smaller. I then went upstairs to see Lauren tried on the implants and fell in love with the size and shape. My implants were ordered then and there and then it was just a waiting game.

How was the day of your procedure? |
I was really nervous on my way there, I was booked in to stay over at First Trust Hospital and arrived 15 minutes late (8:45am) (oops!!) First impressions were everything you could want, lovely building very clean looking. I was greeted by a lovely bubbly nurse she showed me to my room, asked me to pop my gown on, paper knickers, stockings and give a urine sample (pregnancy test). I then came out sat on my bed read a magazine, 15 minutes later it was like rush hour I had Mr Traynor come in and draw on me, this was when he told me I was his first of the day, a wave of nerves and excitement rushed over me. I said goodbye and off he went. Next in came the anesthetist and put my catheter in my hand, think that was the worst part of the day, I’m not a fan of needles ( haha who is though?!) then I had a few more visits from nurses and doctors doing blood pressure, checking heart beat and temperature. 10am a nurse arrived and told me it was time to go I had my slippers on and dressing gown for my walk down to theatre, it was so tempting to not say “walking the mile” in an American accent, that may be my warped sense of humour. I went into the theatre though not the theatre, there were no implants or knives in sight to my delight. The nurse applied monitors to my back then I lay down, in came the anesthetist who started lifting my arms up and stuff I was lying there saying put me asleep, put my asleep now hahaha, I felt quite a hard push on my catheter and then they told me we’re taking you into theatre now as the bed started moving I felt my face and throat starting to go numb and that’s it I can’t remember waking up in the recovery room, I just remember being put in my bed then shouting “GET MY PHONE GET MY PHONE!!” And immediately started taking pictures, this was 11:30am (very quick!) . I felt like I was drunk and everything was hilarious, I drank a tonne of water because my mouth was so dry and I had virtually no pain just a bit achy where my incisions are. I had a cup of tea and some toast and text and sent pictures to all my friends and female family and of course made a post on here. By 2pm I decided I would go home not stay overnight, so I had the catheters removed, everything was ran through with me dos and donts, I was given my meds and I was on my way home at 3pm. It’s now 5pm I haven’t had any pain relief and I feel fine, I’m on the couch with my mum looking after me, and I am just over the moon, best day of my life!
