Why did you want the procedure? |
I wanted the surgery as I never truly felt comfortable in my own skin. I’ve wanted bigger boobs since I was a teen. I’m now 23 and still felt the same so decided it was time to do something for me and get the boobs I’ve always wanted!

Why did you choose MYA? |
I choose MYA as I knew of a couple of girls that had been with them. I was also very impressed with the service they gave! My PC Emma at Chelmsford was lovely and gave me so much information that I felt confident to proceed.

How was your consultation? |
I had Mr Frati for my Surgeons consultation. This lasted around 15mins. Mr Frati is a very busy man but he was polite, to the point and clearly knew what he was talking about. He asked me a few basic questions about me and my lifestyle and what size I would like to achieve, measured me, then let me try on some implants with a sports bra. We decided to go for 500cc high profile implants placed partially under the muscle.
I had my pre op with the nurse on the same day, this was a good opportunity to ask any further questions. We went through my medical history, height, weight, etc and some pre op photos and swabs were taken. I was also given information about the procedure day and after care.

How was the day of your procedure? |
I was admitted to London Fitzory at 7:30 on the 06/10/15. Shortly after I arrived Ellie also arrived. I had been talking to Ellie on MYA space prior to our op day. We each had a nurse come down to collect us and show us to our rooms. We were both pleasantly surprised to find we were sharing a room. We got changed into the gowns, paper nickers, stockings, slippers and gowns provided. The nurse then came and went through our medical history, checked our blood pressures and got us to do our pregnancy tests. We had T.V and Wifi available in our rooms.
The anaesthetist came in introduced himself and ran through what to expect, followed later by Mr Frati to draw on us, confirm sizes and take pre op photos. Just before 9:00 Ellie was taken down to theatre, I was so excited for her, then at around 10:00 it was my turn. One minute I was talking to the nurses and anaesthetist the next I was waking up in the recovery room with boobs. I then got taken back to our room.
I was well strapped up, with my drains in too. The nurses gave me some ice for my boobs to help the swelling and I was offered some pain relief. Although I felt pretty good, I was tired and my chest ached but I wasn’t really in any pain.
After a little sleep the nurses came in to check our blood pressure again. We were encouraged to drink plenty of water and later was offered a cup of tea and toast. I couldn’t wait for that cup of tea! Later on we we’re encourage to use the loo and have a little walk around. I did get quite hot and dizzy after this but the nurse soon cooled me down and encouraged me to drink some more.
Later I had my drains removed this was a little uncomfortable but the nurse was brilliant and talked me through it. My blood pressure was taken again and pain relief was given. Ellie did have a bleed after her drains were taken out, but I was amazed at how quick the team responded to get her sorted and cleaned up.
After a rest and another walk around and toilet break I was feeling much better. So my husband helped me dress back into my normal clothes. My blood pressure was taken once more.
At around 5:30 the doctor came around to give us our antibiotics, pain relief and emergency contact numbers. He gave us all the information we needed and answered any questions we had. We were also given our implant books and stickers. We were then discharged.
I couldn’t have asked for a better group of nurses, doctors, anaesthetists and surgeon. They were all wonderful and I felt very safe in their hands! The hospital was lovely and clean too!
I also can’t thank Ellie, her Mum and my Husband enough, it was lovely sharing our journey together and their support was unreal!!
