Patient Story

Why did you want the procedure?

Since the age of about 16/17 I found myself so self conscious about my chest and would always find myself looking at others due to mine being so under developed and being curious as how to people have boobs! I hated going shopping with my mum and sister because they could buy nice new bras without serious padding like i had to and when i was on holiday i would be covered up by a kimono. It wasn’t til last year my self confidence was at an all time low and i hated looking in the mirror and even feeling uncomfortable in the shower.
Why did you choose MYA?

I chose MYA due to the rave reviews and knowing a couple people myself having the procedures done there.
How was your consultation?

I felt so relaxed at my consultation with Laura, it was like talking to a friend, although i went there with full intentions of putting £1,000 deposit down Laura never once made me feel pressured to make a decision there and then.
How was the day of your procedure?

All the staff at First trust hospital were so lovely and even when Dr Mounir was drawing on my chest getting me ready for surgery he made me laugh and put me at ease. I didn’t realise how quick the procedure is over and all the staff were so attentive making sure i was okay, the food i chose to have when i woke up was lovely and fresh also!
How was your recovery?

The day after was the worst and from then on each day got better and i was able to do more, just sleeping on my back was a bit of a task as i was used to sleeping curled up in a ball. I was given more than enough pain killers however i didn’t take them as much, only took my antibiotics as of when i needed to.
Are you happy with your results?

I know it’s early days but i am already so happy with my results! So excited to see the end result which i’m sure i will be pleased with due to me being happy with my swollen chest already!
