Patient Story

Why did you want the procedure?

After loosing 7stone I still didnt feel great for loosing it as didnt like how I was left looking underneath. I felt horrible and not feminine and was really unhappy with the appearance of my breasts. So this is where MyA came in…
Why did you choose MYA?

I booked a free consultation back in December 2014 and as soon as I arrived at the Bristol clinic I thought this is the place! It just felt right and I didnt need to look anwhere else. Then meeting with Krystina I felt so comfortable and knew I would be having my surgery done through this amazing clinc.
How was your consultation?

First consultation was really good, talked through the reasons why I wanted the surgery, what surgery would be best. Was given loads of information and booked to see the surgeon in the new year. As I was still loosing weight I saw mr.marcellio a few times so he could keep up to date with my size and changing shape.
How was the day of your procedure?

Ahh finally after 6 months (by choice due to wanting to loose more weight) surgery day arrived! Off to London I went with by besty and a whole range of emotions kicked in, although I was nervous as never remotly been in hospital before I was also really excited and felt like was starting a whole new part of my life! I was addmitted into my room at 10am but didnt go theatre until 2.30pm. You are aware that you may have to wait upto 6hours and I was anxious to get the surgery part over with. But the hospital is lovely and the staff were amazing. Time soon passed and before I knew it I was awake again after what felt like ide been gone 3seconds!
How was your recovery?

Okay so waking up from the op was the weirdest feeling ever and I was waiting for the pain to hit me but it didnt..its more like feeling really hungover if anything. I wasnt in pain or uncomfortable. I didnt feel like eating much but was really thirsty. The journey home was a bit uncomfortable and was nearly 4hours but once I was home I felt like a different person. I can honestly say I haven’t been in pain. Yes its uncomfortable at times as your strapped up and ive been extremely tired which is not like me. It sometimes feels like your chest is really tight and achey. Maybe I just have a good pain threshhold?? But ive managed to wash my hair which was my main concern lol im 100times better than I thought I would be and Icant wait for my 1 week post op appointment which is tomorrow.
Are you happy with your results?

One week after surgery im already happy so it can only get better once see the full results! so just thought would update this as not been on for a while. 6months after first surgery I wasn’t happy with the results and boobs had began to already drop and sag. this was nothing to do with the surgery but to do with my skin and effects of weight loss. I arranged to see Mr Marcellino again to discuss and he agreed straight away that I needed revision surgery. so back through the whole thing I went again 6 months later to allow the scars to heal. im now 6 months post op and really happy with the results this time. I have now also had a full tummy tuck and arm lift.
