Patient Story

Why did you want the procedure?

Since the age of 17 I always wanted a boob job. My mum and sister both naturally big breasted but unlucky for me as I was always very small. I waited until I was 23 in case they grew.
Why did you choose MYA?

MYA was recommended by a friend who had hers done. I had been to 3 other clinics for consultations but was really impressed with my PC at MYA. Also Dr Frati knew exactly what I wanted and could have.
How was your consultation?

My first consultation was fine, I met with Dr Frati and we discussed that I wanted the most natural look and decided on the size. I pushed for a little bit bigger. I also had a 2nd consultation with him just to go through a couple more questions.
How was the day of your procedure?

My operation was on the 9th August at London Fitzroy Clinic.

I was an overnight stay so my admission was 1pm. Dr Frati came in to see me around 3pm and said I would be going down shortly. There was a delay and I didn’t end up going down until 6pm! At least it stopped my nerves as I was so hungry all I could think about was waking up and eating.

I walked myself into the theatre room and laid on the bed( sometimes you are put to sleep in the little room next to theatre). I remember looking at the clock at 6.05 and then I was being woken up at 7.10 in recovery.
How was your recovery?

Recovery was fine. I was shocked how little pain I was in. When I woke up in hospital, I ate straight away and had medicine. The staff were amazing and checked on me all night taking my blood pressure.

I had the ‘dreaded drains’ and strapping. When the drains came out I didnt feel anything in my left but my right was slightly more uncomfortable and stung inside for about 10 mins then wore off.

I stayed at my mums for 5 days afterwards so I could be well looked after. I had full movement of my arms, opening doors was tricky until day 3.

The worst part of the recovery for me was the swollen tummy for all the medicines. If I didnt have that it would have been an amazing recovery to be honest.
Are you happy with your results?

At the moment I am only 3 weeks post op, they are still quite hard and stuck on. I can’t wait for them to drop and fluff and become more like a boob.

Size wise, I do have boob greed as you get used to the swelling so I will judge that once I have properly healed.

They do suit my frame very well
