I’m a teacher in a special needs school and the job can be quite physical. Luckily I planned it so I had my op in the summer hols but I would say I’d have been fine to go back after 2 weeks 🙂 you’ve done the right thing planning for 2/3 weeks off rather than only one. Obviously everyone’s recovery can vary a bit but I think you both should be fine x

I bought m&s high impact sports bras and they were so comfy and zip up at the front too. I’m now 6 months post op and wear them for the gym 😊

I am about the same height as you and a size 8 too, I was 34aa before. Had smaller implants – 275 & 300cc due to assymetry but actually would have gone slightly larger if I’d have known how they are know. I work in a special needs school and the work can be quite physical at times, I arranged my op in the summer hols so luckily had 6 weeks off, but I would have been ready after 3 weeks, would say don’t do sooner though just to make sure, rather be safe than sorry! Hope all goes well for you 🙂

That’s over 2 months after your op, I think you will be fine! Maybe ‘practice’ before hand cos I felt a bit strange the first time not wearing one lol!

I had 275 and 300 and had 2 MYA bras and bought an m&s high impact sports bra when I was 1 week post op – liked all of them and wear the m&s one now for the gym 😊

I felt the same! Really didn’t like the idea of a ‘foreign object’ being inside my body – I don’t even like blood tests because I feel the metal of the needle shouldn’t be in my arm.

I’m the same as you, I saw a nurse at 6 wpo and she said it’s up to me whether I wear it, I have been because I too feel more comfortable in it but I think I’ll want to stop at some point??

I was nervous too but the staff are so amazing, when I went up to have the surgery and was waiting the nurse just chatted to me and asked me loads of questions about work and stuff and completely took my mind off of it she deserved a medal! I had 275 & 300 and although I can see a big difference, same as you I wore bras that were too big and padded before so I think people haven’t really noticed x

Not sure if this is helpful but I had 275 & 300cc (partials), I was smaller than 34a before and 34c now so I guess you would be bigger if you’re naturally bigger than I was and have the same size? Hope that helps a bit 🙂

Hi I’m a teacher too, I had my first consultation in January but wanted to have the op in summer which meant I had to wait for dates to come available but I got the first Tuesday of the summer hols for my op. I didn’t experience this much swelling but have you put an ice pack on it? That should reduce swelling. If that doesn’t work or you’re worried then just ring your clinic I’m sure they will calm your worries 🙂

I’m 3 weeks po tomorrow and although I don’t think my recovery was as bad as others, I agree you will need help for at least a week! To help with recovery: a travel pillow to help sleeping upright, button up shirts/dresses, dry shampoo, leave nothing that you will need in a high up cupboard!
