Yeah, on and off. I run, weights, resistance training…all sorts really. Best not to do the same thing over and over, it keeps your body guessing and makes it work harder. I HATE IT, but it’s got to be done. At the moment I’m just walking, four miles plus per day.
Until I hit 40 I was a constant 7st 4lb. I put on 4 stone when I was pregnant at 32 but had lost it all within 2 months. Suddenly put on about 20lb when I reached the big four-0 and wasn’t happy so thought I’d better hit the gym hard. It worked almost too well. Was a size 6 prior to my op and struggled to keep my weight up. I’d ideally like to be the same weight as now (8st 5lb) but with muscles again, not flab! I’m only 5’1.
The gym is soooo boring. Much more fun to do classes, especially if you can persuade a mate to go too. You should try Zumba, it’s a good laugh.
