    iya, i had me dressings off today (1 week post op) and my areolas look tiny, no bigger than a 2p, once the swelling goes and they calm down will they relax to a more normal size, am a bit worried i’ll have practically no areola, did you notice the same with yours at first? x

      I loved seeing my new tiny nipples for the first time! Not sure if they have gotten bigger or if I’ve just got used to them. There is a stitch running all the way around your nipple with a very slow dissolving suture which is to stop your nipple from spreading so think the idea is that they don’t get bigger. Now my boobs are soft, I can feel the slightly stiffer loop of this suture round the edge of my areola.
      I would imagine that to everyone else your nipples would look perfectly normal, it’s just that you haven’t had time to get used to them yet! X
