Hi vee I’m 3 weeks post op and am going away next week so I’ve been using the sunbed, I’ve been using a little strapping top that covers my incisions and over my nipples. As long as you keep the incision covered that’s the most important thing! Xx

Hi Eevie, i also have diazepam for anxiety and i had one every night for the first 7 days, they do relax the muscle and also help you relax to drift off a bit which is hard when sleeping upright! I was due to have my strapping removed today in Liverpool. It’s 7 days today and I have been counting down the days as i have hated the strapping. i spoke to the nurse and she said they need to stay on. I have also trimmed at the top and sides slightly. I am so desperate to take it off that I think I’m going to do it on my own. It’s day five for me now and i just can’t take any more, it’s making me so anxious, claustrophobic and itchy 🙁

I’m day four and every single part of me wants to take it off. I literally can’t cope 🙁 I don’t see why they are needed when most other people just have dressings over the incisions and then wear the Macom? I think it’s only Dr Frati that uses the strapping. Friday can’t come soon enough

Lauren I think you had yours done yesterday? I was in the other room! Did you get unders? I know they’re more painful. Have you been sleeping upright? That helps with the swelling

Had my surgery yesterday morning which went really well. I didn’t leave the hospital til 8pm as didn’t feel quite ready. Since being home I am keeping up with meds every four hours and although the pain is bareable I am struggling with ice. Hi Emilee, sorry to hear you had complications. Out of curiosity, do you have to pay for the overnight stay if there is a problem? i know the overnight is more expensive than day case xxx

Surgeons only use a breast band if they are unders i think, and strapping if over/partial xxx

Hi Tarah, once you have had your consultation with Dr Frati there is a 2 week cooling off period. I am in a similar position and the PC’s are so good, they will do everything they can to squeeze you in! Good luck!! xx
