Patient Story

Why did you want the procedure?

I wanted to have a breast enlargement because after having my son my breasts became deflated, i wanted to have a full bust again and be able to wear plunging dresses and tops! I also do modeling so wanted it to help my career.
Why did you choose MYA?

I choose MYA because after lots of research I thought they were a good company and I felt safe in there hands. I went for consultations at MYA and Transform however MYA was definitely the best in my opinion.
How was your consultation?

As previously said I went for consultations with both MYA and Transform and MYA definitely came out on top! My patient controller Amelia Russel was amazing such a lovely girl, she went through the whole procedure with me, answered all my questions and explained everything in detail. Ever since she has always been just a phone call away for any questions and support and always returned my calls promptly. My surgeons consultation was with Mr Singh the consultation was a bit short but he took all his measurements, spoke about what i was looking for out of BA and discussed all the options available to me.
How was the day of your procedure?

Before my procedure i was very emotional getting very upset because i hate needles and being put to sleep but after speaking to the anesthetist he told me he could put me to sleep using gas and i wouldn’t need to have any needles till i was asleep which made me feel so much better. The MYA Fitzroy in London is very nice on arrival i was shown to my room and given a gown, paper knickers and stockings. i had about a 3 hour wait for my surgery but the time flew by! the anesthetist made me feel so much better too cracking jokes with me he was so funny! i have have been put to sleep 3 times now and the 2 time prior to MYA i have woken up very upset.. with MYA i woke up feeling like i had just come round from a deep sleep! i was so shocked it just goes to show how they made me feel so comfortable before putting me to sleep and i was there number one concern!
How was your recovery?

I am not going to lie day 1-3 post op was very hard i was in quite a bit of pain and i couldn’t do much for myself i am so grateful for my mum and boyfriend who looked after me and my little boy while i recovered. Each day got a little better though and i was able to do a little bit more. The co-codomol’s made me feel sick but i kept taking them and they really helped with the pain. by day 3 i managed to walk up and down the street day 4 to the park and back and day 5 i drove to school to pick up my little boy (only a 5 min drive there and back) its now day 6 and i am pretty mobile i am still in some pain but i have stopped taking medication, the pain is now really more tightness sharp pains when i move.
Are you happy with your results?

its only post op day 6 but so far i am in love with my new boobs! MYA have been great and my boobs look AMAZING! I can say i Highly recommend MYA and my surgeon Mr Singh!
