I told my work exactly what I was doing, thankfully they understood. But I’m so glad I told them, as they will really notice you aren’t yourself when you return to work, they may not understand unless you explain to them.But I think it depends what job you have, my job involves lifting and moving. Xxx

Hi girls, I was 8WPO yesterday, the past couple of days I have had quite a lot of shooting pains and sharp stabbing. I know that’s normal for when you first get them done, but 6WPO it had completely gone, now come back again. Does anyone know if this is normal and is anyone else still experiencing this after 8 weeks?

My swelling didn’t completely go until at least 3 weeks post op. X

I had my 5 week post op check last week and my surgeon said I could start wearing whatever was comfortable bra wise, and I don’t have to wear anything at night. But he did advise to leave another month to wear underwire as it will sit on top of the scar. However I am not with MYA and I know all surgeons have different advice xx

I was 32A 5ft 9 and about 10 stone. I had 400cc overs. I’m 5 weeks post op so haven’t been measured yet. But surgeon thinks I will probably be a D or DD. To me they still look natural XXX

Does anyone know when it’s safe to work out completely? Including press ups and heavy lifting. My surgeon said it’s fine to go back to the gym after 6 weeks, does this mean I can do every exercise? Thanks in advance xx

I had the exact same up until about 4 days post op. Was really red and rashy all over my chest and neck, also stomach. Nurses said it was totally normal and could be the anaesthetic, or possibly caused by a temperature xxx

Hi everyone. I’m almost 2 weeks post op. Not with MYA. I had one dressing removed at 1 week post op but right boob dressing had to stay on another week as stitches hadn’t closed up. I’ve just felt underneath my left boob and it’s literally rock hard, but the top of my boobs are fairly squishy already. Does anyone know if this is normal? Xx

I’m post op day 4 now and just starting to feel better. I found sitting up was really difficult. I also found walking made it difficult to breathe and stand straight. But I’m sure it will only improve now xxx

Hi everyone, looking for some advice. I’m not a mya patient but I’m 2 days post op (400 cc overs) I’ve been feeling little shooting pains, almost like tiny spasms. Has anyone else experienced this and know if it’s normal? Thanks in advance.
