| Why did you want the procedure? |
I had a breast reduction with Dr Giannas on the 24th March 2018. I wanted a breast reduction as I had suffered for years with back and shoulder pain, I was a 32G/GG, my frame is really petite and my boobs just did not suit me at all. I hated looking in the mirror, choosing clothes and it really lowered my self confidence.

| Why did you choose MYA? |
I had waited for years for the NHS to approve my operation, I got through to the funding stage to then be told that I was too small to have the operation with them. I then did some research online and booked my first consultation with MYA. I visited the London Fitzroy clinic in October and met my PC Francesca and was booked in and done by March!

| How was your consultation? |
My first consultation went really well. My patient co-ordinator Francesca Murphy was amazing. She listened to every single question I had, no matter how stupid they were. She made the whole experience so easy.

| How was the day of your procedure? |
On the day of my surgery I was pretty nervous (as you would be) but honestly it was so much better than I expected. I was an overnight stay so I had my own private room which was lovely and made me feel so much better about staying away from home. I had visits from my nurses, anaesthetist and surgeon before my op which gave me so much confidence. After surgery, I cannot even express how lovely all of my nurses were, I felt so confident that they would help me at any time, no matter what I needed. Dr Giannas came to see me the morning after my surgery to check on me and see how I felt which was really nice. Overall I am so happy with my stay at the Fitzroy clinic, I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

| How was your recovery? |
So far my recovery has been good. I expected to be in much more pain than I have been. I am currently ten days post op and I have stopped all pain relief. I was only in pain for the first two days maximum and it was not severe or unbearable, I would describe it as uncomfortable. The only thing I have a problem with at the moment is getting comfortable and sleeping as you have to be at a 45 degree angle. Once I can lay down again I wont have any issues with recovery. I have had my 7 day post op appointment where a nurse changed my dressings (was not the best experience but that is only because I am a wimp and get extremely woozy over things like this) but my nurse was amazing and helped me so much.

| Are you happy with your results? |
I am so happy with my results already. Its only been ten days but I can already see how perfect my new boobs are. The size difference is perfect and exactly what I imagined. My swelling is pretty much gone so I have a good idea of what they look like. I can’t wait to put on a bra or bikini and feel happy with my reflection as I have never felt like this before. Having my breast reduction with MYA was the best thing I have ever done.
