Had 505cc (mlp according to my notes,I was told lp) partials
Arrived at park hill doncaster at 9.30 ( admission was 10) but nurses took me up to my room and started going through paperwork with me and taking temperature, blood pressure, pulse.I didn’t need aurine test as I could remember my last period(and was on,unfortunatly)and still had to wear paper nicks with a maternity pad lol.
Was given my gown and socks to get changed, room was lovely had a big plasma and ensuite and was given a molton brown bath set as a gift.menu was amazing even though I was out of it for too long to eat so had good old jam on toast instead.
The anesthenetist came to see me to run through some questions(was I allergic to anything, did I wear contacts,do I have caps crowns etc)
Then I was left to wait for mr kazzazi, and was entertained by my friend lol while she tried keeping me from been nervous.around 11.15 mr kazzazi came to run through the procedure and the implants I were having and did his drawings then said hed see me soon(then I got nervous).
Within ten mins thenurse came and said, its time.
She walked me to theatre and to the anesthetic room where I laid on a bed.had some stickers attached to measure my heart rate and some compression wraps around my calfs.then had my canula fitted(which I’m fine with as iv had them before, but never had general so I was very aprehensive)
Next thing I no,the dr said right its time for your nap and pumped 2 syringes of liquid in,and on the second my face and eyes tingled so I closed them then gone I was lol.
I then remember been woke in recovery 2 and a half hours later(aparantly they’d tried for half an hour but I didn’t come out very well, think I needed a good sleep)
I was confused till I touched my boobs and had a little happy cry, then went back to sleep.I could feel myself been wheeled back to my room.and my friend sat and held my hand and cried because she didn’t like seeing me like it.so I squeezed it and whispered I was ok just tired.I was like that for a good hour.
When I did start to come round the pain for me was stronger than I thought(probly as I’d been given no morphine or pain relief yet) so they gave me tramadol and paracetomol and I drank quite a bit of water and a coffee.my mouth is still quite dry now and took ages to hydrate a bit.
I was very emotional too.one nurse who had just come on shift was very sarcastic and thought she was funny and made me cry twice after shed left the room, which isn’t like me at all.
I was a daycase but at 8 o clock had my drains removed(they tug them out yet you don’t feel it,strange lol)my friend again cried her eyes out as she thought they were hurting me bless her.
I tried to have a walk, and took a funny turn and was sick.I’d been almost sick quite a lot that day with my mouth watering a lot.so they decided to keep me in.
I slept well, think it helps because of the reclining beds rather than trying to pack yourself up with cusions.annoying how that nurse barges in at 2 am and 6 am as if I’m already awake though.
I’m currently laid in bed with a very achey chest, but I’m happy so far.
Hope this was interesting and maybe helps people. Xx
P.s tilly pops came to see me before her surgery and had a peek at myne, what a lovely lady!
