Why did you want the procedure? |
My breasts were always small when I was younger, after taking the contraceptive pill, they filled out a little more but my left breast was obviously smaller than my right breast.
I hated they looked different sizes and they were droopy due to having tubular breasts and finally wanted to do something about it.

Why did you choose MYA? |
I choose Mya because my fiance had suggested them to me as his ex, when he was with her, had gone with Mya and had no issues and it was a good journey.

How was your consultation? |
The consultation wasn’t what I was really expecting, it felt very odd and strange and I felt a bit awkward getting my breasts out as the atmosphere felt a bit tense, but the second consultation I did as a video call with the surgeon and it felt a lot more relaxed and happy.

How was the day of your procedure? |
I was due at the hospital for 10am, I was super nervous sitting in the waiting room, waiting to be taken to my room, the lady was lovely who showed me to my room. I was asked to changed into the lovely hospital gown, knickers and socks.
I was waiting around 2 hours until I saw the anesthetist who was letting me know that everything was going to be okay and helped settle my nerves as I had already cried twice in the hospital room from my nerves while waiting with my partner.
It was another hour until I saw the surgeon who came in to draw on me with what sizes we were going for etc.
A nurse came to collect me about 45 minutes later and took me down to the operating room to have my canula put in and to be put to sleep.
Next thing I knew, I was waking up in the recovery area ready to be taken back to my room.

How was your recovery? |
Recovery was a lot better than I was expecting, I was not sick from the anesthetic after waking up as I asked for a lot of anti sickness drugs as I have a phobia of being sick. Barely any pain as they gave me painkillers and anti sickness quite soon after waking up.
Due to my procedure of having uplift as well as implants, I had to be an over night stay, I was stiff for the first week and did not want to move my arms, shoulders or chest much at all until after the first week nurse consultation where she could check how it was going and to change the plasters.
After the first week had passed, things started to become a bit easier and a bit more relaxed, I have not needed to take many painkillers for breast pain but I took a few due to back pain from sleeping upright for 2 weeks and the new weight on my chest.
