Why did you want the procedure? |
I wanted a BA since I was around 15. I have always been very petite and small built so I never really expected to have any boobs. However as I got older I noticed that other small petite girls had way bigger boobs than me, and going out was an issue as I could hardly fill a size 6 dress on the bust! I became concious of them as all of my friends could wear nice ‘booby’ dresses. I just wanted to wear nice clothes like that! and not be seen as ‘flat chested’

Why did you choose MYA? |
I chose MYA because during my search two girls I knew recently had their procedure…when it came to asking them about theirs it turned out they both had their surgery with MYA (with the same DR as me) DR Fratti and they were both over the moon with their results.
After looking at the MYA website and finding the Forum and MYAspace I just thought it was perfect! What a brilliant, unique idea! All the girls love it because it gives us the reassurance we all need!

How was your consultation? |
My 1st consultation was great! – I met a lovely PC called Sophie at the Chelmsford clinic. She gave me all of the information I needed, showed me a couple of before and afters and made me feel at ease.
My consultation was my DR was very straight forward. Dr Frati was lovely! Very to the point, he measured me up asked me what I wanted to achieve and gave me two options of what he thought was best for me! I then got to try the sizes in a sports bra with a tight top over to get an idea!

How was the day of your procedure? |
The day of my procedure was very exciting!
I was called in for 7am
My mum came with me, which made me feel a lot better! and it was just lovely for her to be so supportive and to be a part of my journey too.
All of the nurses were lovely! ESPECIALLY the anaesthetic team!!
I wasn’t ever nervous…best thing to do is be happy about what your having done and just do not over think it!
I became a little dizzy/sick after my operation due to the anaesthetic, because of this I was kept in a while longer than others, just so that the nurses could keep an eye on me and they made sure I was 100 percent before I left that hospital room! (which I loved!!!)

How was your recovery? |
My recovery was surprisingly okay! I had a rough idea what to expect and I prepared myself for it!
I booked two weeks off work – which I ended up extending purely because my work is very physical and very busy over the Christmas season I just didn’t want to put myself at any risk.
I had my boyfriend at home with me, helping me for the first week.
For the first 5/6 days I found it very hard to do things. But then again I just made the most of the bed days!!
Its not painful as such, its just difficult and uncomfortable !
The only pains I had was the usual sharp stabbing pains, which is the reconnecting of the nerve endings.

Are you happy with your results? |
I am VERY happy with my results so far.
I am writing this at 5 weeks PO.
I am currently a 30E ! which is amazing, and I love how natural my new boobs look! I was so worried they would be too big for my frame, but I love them! and they are perfect for me 🙂
