Well, I had my uplift, no implants on Saturday 17th with Mr Fallahdar at Highgate Hospital.
I was quite nervous before but I tried not to think about it too much as I would have only got myself worked up but, turns out, absolutely nothing to worry about and I would go through the whole procedure again tomorrow if I had to!
So I arrived at Highgate for my admission time at 1pm, few forms to check over before being taken to my room. The nurse then came in to check blood pressure, ask a few questions about my health and to do a pregnancy test.
I was given my gown, sexy paper knickers and measured for my socks. I was told that I would have about a 2-3 hour wait until my procedure, but this could change.
Mr F came to see me around 5pm and then it all started to feel real! He drew on my breasts, showed my where my nipples would be and asked if it was ok. It was quite hard to imagine but I just kept telling him to make them as high as he could and nice and firm and pert!! He took a few pictures as well.
He was reassuring throughout and then told me it would be about an hour-90 mins before my op.
So at 6.15, I was taken down to the anesthetic room. The nurse there really put me at ease because I was starting to get quite scared then. Obviously!!
I wish I could remember her name, she was fabulous.
So, I was hooked up to a drip and after about another 30 mins of lying down in the anesthetic room, having a nice chat, the anesthetist came through.
This was it… I felt it rush through me and I think I lasted about 2 seconds!! Next thing I hear is “Vicky, you’re in recovery”
I had done it and I could see my nipples for the first time!! Slight pain when waking but I was given some morphine which was great! Mr F then came to see me whilst I was still in recovery and said that my new boobs looked great and everything had gone well. I also had a drain in each breast.
I was then taken back to my room, my friends there waiting for me, ready with my cup of tea which I had been waiting for for HOURS!!! It was great!
I think i was back to my room about 10pm, I don’t really remember. Anyway, I had my dinner about 11.30-12 (parsnip soup was lush) and I had no pain at all. I was offered some more pain relief, just incase and some sleeping tablets which I happily took!! I dozed on and off throughout the night with no pain whatsoever. The nurse, again, was amazing. So helpful and patient with my weak bladder!!
Breakfast and my morning paper arrived at about 7am… not what I ordered but I wasn’t bothered, I still ate it!!
Mr F came to visit about 10am, everything was fine. Nipples a nice colour which was great and meant that they weren’t going to fall off!! One fear I’ve had throughout this because I am a smoker!! All was good!
So all I had to do now was rest and wait until my drains were clear then I could go.
I got to order some lunch for me and my visitors and at around 1.30-2pm my drains were removed. I had some painkillers about an hour before the drains were removed. It was a little painful, but not the worst and over in 2 seconds.
I was then put into my bra by the nurse who I think was called Maria. Again, amazing nurse!
I could now get dressed, just had to wait for my meds and I could go home. This was about 2-2.30pm.
I cannot say enough how amazing all of the staff were at Highgate, they made it such a relaxing and enjoyable (yes, enjoyable!) experience. I would do it all over again!!
You do have a TV with freeview in your room. I took my laptop as well, but I didn’t need it. There is also wifi there but a few websites were blocked such as youtube and some shopping sites.
I had hardly any pain over my stay there, today, 2 days later, i’m a little tender and swollen and my nipples are HUGE!! But I wouldn’t change it for the world! Best decision i’ve ever made. I have my follow up on Friday and I can’t wait to see them properly for the first time.
So girls, you’ve really got nothing to worry about and you are in good hands!
Feel free to add me, or ask any questions. I have put some pictures up now and will continue to do so throughout the healing process, please be honest with your comments! I feel it’s so important to share stories and pictures because it’s such a big decision to make and the more information we have, the better we feel.
