1DPO – bloody bandage :-(

So I knew it wouldn’t be long before I started worrying! I had 350 HP partials with Mr Mahdi yesterday and I absolutely love the size. The operation was a breeze, I had never been under anathetic before but I don’t know why I was so worried!

Anyhow before I left the hospital she mentioned that my left breast had been ‘oozing’ but my bandages are full of blood 🙁 should I be worried and ring the nurse? I’m not in too much pain, it’s just the muscles at the top of my chest and under my armpits that are hurting!

Also did anyone else’s implants sit in their arm pits? A part of me is thinking about going and buying a tighter sports bra to pull them more together?

I’m sure I’m over thinking but I want them to settle right! 🙁 xxx

Hiya, I had my pre op with my nurse the other day and she did mention after my op to call her if there’s bleeding on dressings and if the pain is so bad that painkillers don’t make a difference. Call your nurse as it’s better to be safe in case 🙂 x

Oh really? I assumed with them discharging me knowing it was oozing that it wouldn’t be an issue 🙁 I may drop her an email and see if she gets back to me, then give her a call if not. I’ll try and attach a photo… the top is my left sore side and the bottom photo which isn’t too bad is my right xxx

Yeah I remember her mentioning that! was it bleeding when they discharged you or just liquid? She gave me an out of hours number to ring as well I think I’d ring that up with it being Sunday tomorrow. Your pics look really sore 🙁 are you on the pill or anything? They’ve told me to stop taking any multivitamins and stuff 2 weeks before because they can thin your blood and make you bleed more, I think the pill has the same effect. If anything I think they’ll just ask you to come in before 1 week to clean them up and help stop you getting an infection, because those dressings look like they definitely need changing, I wouldn’t leave them on for a week xxx

I’ve got mahdi too in 3 weeks. My nurse said out of all the surgeons if she was having a BA she’d pick mahdi. So I wouldn’t worry that it’s been done incorrectly or anything it should just need cleaning up, you might just take longer to heal than some people 🙂 xxx

I’m not too sure! She just said it was ‘oozing slightly’ I agree with you saying I shouldn’t keep them on for a week though 🙁 I’ve just sent her an email and I’ll probably follow it up with a call tomorrow. I’m just really worried about the whole recovery/ healing process, the last thing I want is to have problems haha, it’s such a exciting but scary change!

Hi mine was bleeding straight after op I kept a gauze over it and the next couple days was weeping all normal apparently. As long as u ain’t bleeding constant should be fine xxx

Hopefully she’ll get back to you quick! If she doesnt get back to you I’d ring up tomorrow to sort something for Monday? I know what you mean I’m dreading the recovery! Hoping it’ll go smoothly for me! Oh good I’ve only met him once and can’t see him again till the op day but I really liked him! I felt in safe hands with him 🙂 no probs at all keep us updated how you get on xxxx
