    Hi,
I had a 32a to start with and had 340ccs under the muscle (brought me to a 32c/d)…I then had a 700cc a few years later with Mr Singh (9 weeks ago)under the muscle which brought me to a 32f??. However the implants are only bigger in circumference and I’m finding it really difficult 9 weeks on to buy a bra. Had no probelms with bras with the 340s. I have to wear an F bra to fit the circumference but they all slightly peak at the nipple. When I try an ‘e’ cup the bra does not fit around the implant.
700cc sounds a large implant but to be honest there is not too much difference when I stand to the side ..look the same as what they did with the 340ccs ,its just when you look front on that the ”circle is bigger”. Mr Singh never advised me to wear a sports bra but I wore one anyway for 6 weeks as I did with 1st BA. I think having under the muscle has hidden the implant plus once the swelling went down they were a lot smaller (after 4 weeks). xx

I have my op with mr singh next wednesday :) 32b, 410cc over, and he said expect me to see DD’s :)
Does he usually advise you to wear sports bra afterwards?

    Hi Hayley
Wonder if Mr Singh will suggest same size implant for you as he did me?? I’m seeing him on Monday, having my 6 week post op check with him and MYA nurse and that should be my final check up, can’t wait!!! Mr Singh will do you proud, bet you’re so excited!!!! Your boobs will be taped up after surgery with your nipples showing – it does look rather strange! I had bruising under my boobs on my rib cage, but it wasn’t visible, it was just quite tender, boobs weren’t bruised, think you’ll be surprised at how good they look afterwards, despite the fact that they’ll be very high and swollen! I experienced a burning sensation and found my boobs were dry and itchy so have been using bio oil avoiding my scars. My boobs were very swollen for a good few days, but improved by the time I had my sticky dressing removed. My nipples were numb, then really really sensitive and now they are still a little sore and sensitive but have all feeling back. My left boob was numb underneath my nipple but again that is just about back to normal now. Sorry to ramble on, just think its good to give you an idea as to what you might experience!
Fingers crossed you get your loan!

I am really looking forward to seeing Mr Singh later this month. Fiona i am exactly a 32A wanting to be 32D, thanks for sharing your story has really made me look forward to getting them done! Thank God there dissovable i think thats the bit im most worrying about lol, and the fact the state they will look in after the surgery, do they bruise all over or anything? some people have mentioned to me that you loose the sensation is your nipples is this right? I was i could do the late space but as i work for a young peoples charity it would be really hard to get the time off work. I am currently looking into getting a loan with tesco and hoping my dad would agree to me putting his name on here as a joint loan.

    Good morning,
I measure a 34A but have been bigger in the past. I told Mr Singh i wanted to go as big as he could do and he told me skys the limit! I’m going for 525cc high profile over the muscle – i would go bigger but thats another

    Hi Hayley

Fingers crossed you won’t have to wait to long to get an appointment with him – Suzanne mentions above that she saw him last week and it booked in for next Friday so looks promising!
I was a 32a/b and now measure 32D, had 380 cc partial unders – my boobs look ace, Mr Singh has done exactly what I asked, all of my friends say my boobs look fab and don’t look fake at all. Mr Singh will be able to tell you what will fit and suit you. I had dissolvable stitches but 1 stitch hasn’t dissolved, it’s sticking out by about 5mm, some dissolvable stitches can be stubborn, will be seeing my MYA nurse soon so hoping she can sort it!
Will your parents help you with getting a loan? – I got a Tesco loan rather than going through MYA or medical loan companies as I got a good interest rate!

I have a consultation with Dr.Singh in Sept too-what size are you now Suzanne and what do you hope to be after?I have to wait to see if he thinks I will need an uplift too as Harley street medical said I was borderline. We can’t afford uplift only the ba and that’s taken all our savings! After breastfeeind I have shrunk down to saggy b cup:(Want to be at least a DD as I was before cos I feel so ugly, unsexy and unfeminine now-only cos they are so droopy:(

I saw Mr singh last thursday and he was great!!! You will not be disappointed seeing him. I’m booked in for next friday and can’t wait. He specialises in bigger BAs and will tend to place larger implants than the other surgeons.

    Hi Hayley

It’s Fiona, I started this discussion. I’m just over 5 weeks post op and I am so so pleased with the fantastic results, Mr Singh has done an amazing job. I saw him on 18 May and had op just over 5 weeks later as I had to fit it in around work, I’m not sure if I could’ve had an earlier appointment, just depends how busy he is!

Good luck with your appointment and op.

    Hi ladies
I had my BA at Highgate with Mr Singh on Friday 26 June. My admission time was 1 pm and after reading other girls’ experiences of how long they were waiting before going to theatre, I expected to be back in my room by 3pm ish…….how wrong was I!!!! I was shown to my room at 1pm, my nurse came to see me about half an hour later and asked me some questions, took by blood pressure, weighed me, measured my height and also some leg measurements for the sexy socks you have to wear!!! Another half hour passed and the anaesthetist came to see me, he was a really friendly guy, he asked me a few questions and then left the room. Two hours passed and I was actually thinking that they had forgotten about me as no-one came in to my room to update me on what was happening which was the only negative bit of my experience with the hospital…finally at around 4.10 pm Mr Singh came in to see me to discuss the BA. He said that he would decide during the operation whether the implant would be over or under, which I agreed to and he asked me to sign the consent form….by this time my nerves had settled as I was fed up of waiting and bloody hungry as I hadn’t eaten since 6.30am!!!!!!!!! Anyway Mr Singh explained that I was next on the list and that I would be going down to theatre within 30-40mins after he had carried out another procedure.
Finally at 4.45pm a nurse came for me, we walked to the room where I would be anaesthetised. I layed down on the bed and prepared for the moment I’d been waiting for!!! The anaesthetist was chatting to me, asking about my job and where I was from, they struggled to get the canula in the back of my hand so they had to put it in the crease of my arm and within seconds I was out for the count!
The next thing I remember is the nurse talking to me and I started coming around, it took only a little while for me to properly come round, then I was wheeled back to my room with my new boobs (strapped up with sticky bandage) at around 6.30 pm!!!!! Within half an hour I was having toast and what seemed like the best cup of tea in the world :) I actually felt ok, quite sore and stiff but I expected that. An hour or so later I had my 3 course meal which was very nice!! I very slowly got up and went to the loo and tried to walk around a bit as the anaesthetist said I should try to have a bit of a walk around. I spent the rest of the evening watching tv and looking at my new boobs, having my suspicions that they were under the muscle as I was having a little bit more pain than I expected and slight movements we take for granted were far more difficult to do! During the evening the nurse kept coming in the room to check on me and to take my blood pressure and temperature. I didn’t take any painkillers that evening and actually got some sleep although I kept waking up during the night.
The nurse came through to me at 6.30 am to take blood pressure etc again and she helped me put my sports bra on my swollen boobs – it was quite painful trying to lean forward and hold that position while she did my bra up so the nurse brought me some painkillers. I had breakfast at 7.30 am and slowly got myself ready for discharge at around 9 am. Mr Singh was not around to see me so the anesthetist came to have a chat with me and advised me about taking my medication, then a nurse came to see me who I asked about my BA, as I wanted to know whether I had unders or overs and she confirmed that I had partial unders. I went to the pharmacy to collect my medication and left for home at 9.20 am. My partner drove me home…..going round roundabouts was quite painful but the rest of the journey was ok! On my way home my nurse from MYA rang to see how I was doing and to say I should get lots of rest.
I spent yesterday relaxing and walking around the house, I took some painkillers last night although I wasn’t in a lot of pain I didn’t want to wake up in the night so thought it was best to take some in case. I slept better than expected and I feel ok today, obviously taking it easy. The sticky bandage is rather tight but that should ease as the swelling goes down. Every now and then I feel and hear a squelching in my boobs which feels wierd but is normal! Just look forward to getting the bandage off a week tomorrow and being able to see what my boobs actually look like, although I know it will be a long time before I see the final result!
    I was a 32a/b and had 380cc implants – I’m hoping to be a small-average d!
Overall I have had an excellent experience with MYA so far and will keep you all updated on my progress.
Hope this helps girls and if you have any questions about my experience then please ask.

    Hi Fiona

Thanks for posting your story, and congratulations on your new boobies :-)

I’m seeing Mr Adamo this Thursday, and hope to book my BA for August. Feel really nervous about going!
Highgate is where I will go too, (near Covent Garden?) I’ve read so many good reports on it.

Please keep us updated on your progress xx

Hi Lorah – thank you and congratulations to you too :) I’ve been wearing a 34d sports bra and it fits ok, as you said it’s better to have a larger back size so that the bra doesn’t rub on your incisions! I’ve got quite a few shock absorber bras which I’ll wear once I get this sticky bandage off, can’t wait!! My boobs are both hard and fairly high, can’t wait for the swelling to go down and for them to drop too!! The creaking and squelching is bizarre, sounds like my boobs keep letting off little farts if I move my arms lol!

Jamie LD – thank you, I’m pleased my story has helped you :) I think if your surgeon has said you should achieve a DD then you should, it really all depends upon how much breast tissue you have, the size of your frame and whether you’re having unders/partial unders/overs. The implant size/cup size isn’t an exact science, if you’re a bit unsure then get in touch with your patient co-ordinator/surgeon. I’m hoping to be a small/average D. There is only half a cup size difference between a D and DD. Are you having unders, partial unders or overs?

hi fiona, congrats on your new boobies! i had mine done at highgate on wednesday (24th) the fisrt two days were rough but i feel so good now im thinking about ogoing back to work a few days before i planned! i was a 32a/b and had 380 partial unders too! ive been shopping for bras and find that a 34d fits perfectly but i will probably end up being a 32d aftr the swelling goes down, i went for a bigger back size just so they dont rub on my inscisions! have you found that one of them seems a bit harder/higher than the other? i cant wat for mine to drop into place.
keira, i think 340 will be fine on you, probably more than likly make you a big c or even small d. which is perfect! -good luck though! i hardly felt the cannula in my arm, they didnt even try to put it in my hand but that could be cause ive got pretty small veins and i look a bit fragile, perhaps they looked without me noticing!
i am feeling absolutely fine now, i was out shopping ALL day yestrday. the only weird thing is the creaking, apparently its normal and just air though, but i wasnt warned about this so i freaked out a bit the first time!

wow congratulatons Fiona…..i love reading other peoples stories it makes me feel a lot less nervous as you already know exactly what to expect….im booked in 5th August and its going to be the longest 6 weeks of my life i think!!..lol i was wondering tho im a 34a/b now and im also having 380 i am hoping for a big d – double d…..im confused now….what difference does the 34 bit make?? as you were a 32a/b and had the same size implant but were both expecting different sizes?? i know its different for different people i just really dont want to be disapointed!! xx

    Hi Keira
Thank you, yes I’m so pleased its over. I wanted to put my story on here as other stories I read really helped and reassured me so I thought I’d do the same to help! Thing is you work yourself up to having the actual op, I didn’t really think about how I would be afterwards, it’s quite strange not being able to move freely and having to take things slowly and not doing much!
Highgate hospital is very nice, in a quiet area, the nursing staff are all very friendly and the anaesthetist I had was a really lovely guy, you’ll be in capable hands and feel well looked after. Hopefully you won’t have to wait as long as me. As you are a day case I would have thought you will be down to theatre soon after you arrive. My partner came along with me and we watched tv for some time!
I was feeling nervous a few days before and kept wondering what would happen and how long it would take.
Fortunately for me I’m not scared of injections but it doesn’t hurt that much at all, you just need to relax, it’s just a couple of seconds of feeling the needle going into your skin and then seconds later the anaesthetic kicks in!
Personally I think that you should be a big C. You’ll find that your boobs will be very swollen and your muscles will be very sore so do take it easy, your boyfriend and family will need to wait on you hand and foot – enjoy it ;)
Yes I’m feeling fine in myself today thanks, I’m taking the antibiotics and tablets for pain/inflamation but haven’t had the other stronger painkillers today as I haven’t had any pain. My partner helped me to have a shallow bath this morning and we’ve just washed my hair over the bath, bless him, thankfully he didn’t drench me, it was actually quite funny but tried not to laugh as it feels strange on my chest! :)
I wish you lots of luck for your BA on Tuesday, you will be fine, if you have any other questions let me know.
    Good luck, Fiona xx
