Hi girls, I had my op on MONDAY 13th June at Fitzroy. Just wanted to say, it was a great experience and I was so well looked after. I booked to stay over and thank God I did as I had awful sickness but the staff were amazing and kept me as comfortable as possible. Now I’m 2 days po and the pain is there but it’s hardly noticeable once I’ve taken my pain killers. I was thinking about going ahead with the procedure for years and I’m sooo happy I’ve finally done it. Can’t wait to see how the rest of my journey goes. Good luck to anyone about to have their op. Just enjoy it 🙂 xx

Hi Bex I’m staying in overnight on the 5th of July I was worried about not being with my husband but in a way I know I need the best hands if I suffer with sickness or bad pain as its a two hour drive home in the morning. I’m so excited and nervous wanted this done for years! Did you get any sleep at the hospital ? I suppose being drugged up helps xx

I had a fair amount of anti sickness medicines so tbh I didn’t even notice my husband was there. I was sooo drowsy and basically slept from having my op until the next morning. I slept amazing at the hospital. They do everything they can to make you comfortable. I was worried about my husband leaving me but it all went so fast it didn’t bother me at all at the time. I would definitely recommend staying over though as it takes the pressure off trying to get better for travelling. You can just relax. Good luck for your op, you will be fine 🙂 xx
