2nd August Preston ladies???

My op is on 2nd of August at Preston First Trust. I cannot wait. I was soooooo nervous but now I’m just feeling super excited (sure the nerves will make a reappearance on the day). Just thought it might be cool to start a thread for all 2nd August Preston Ladies to share our thoughts in the build up to our big day… eeeek

Yes it will be weird to finally come face to face with some of the ladies on here… I’m hoping I get an early admission time. I don’t think I’ll cope well with no food for any length of time – I’m a 3 aquire meals a day kinda gal…

I’m so nervous & praying they turn out gud!
Good luck with ur operations, I myt see you there,, I’m hoping for early admission aswell, just too get it over with as il be a nervous wreck on Wednesday morning,,,
The clinic said I should probably have a time sent in an email on Monday,
Do u have far too travel?
I’m near Newcastle so got 2hour car journey which I’m dreading! Xx

Hi hoping for an early time slot too but the roads around there are bad with road works and traffic so I didn’t ask for first slot as don’t want to be stuck in traffic. I am in Manchester so not to far to travel what size are you going for girls?

I haven’t had a time yet,,, I’m thinking of having 275cc, I’m having overs as due 2 pregnancy and breastfeeding he said I have enough skin,
I’m debating on 300cc but I want natural looking and not to big so I’m going 2 ask him on the day which he thinks,,, as I have seen some 300cc the size I wud love and then others look huge,, but I suppose it all depends on your stats , I’m 5ft 4 and 9 stone,,, how about you, what size are you having?

Mines at 2pm also… I live about 40mins max from Preston but going to have to arrange childcare for overnight on that day now as I don’t want my 3 year old having to stay awake until midnight for his dad and I to pick him up. I’m gonna be so hungry lol

I am 5.6 and 9 stone size 8 to 10. Having 375 overs hp due to breast feeding 3 children but going to see what he says on the day he said 300 -400

4 days to go… not that I’m counting 🙂

I’m so excited but just want it to be Thursday now & have it all over and done with! Haha xx

Iv spoke 2 Newcastle today & they said I should get it by Monday at the latest,, as they sometimes give other clinics their times earlier,,,
and my signature wasn’t on one of the documents, but they assured me I’m definately in Wednesday,,
My husband is coming with me & iv got 3 kids 2 arrange childcare for,, I’m hoping its early ,, I wonder if ther is only 3 of us on Wednesday? Have u started packing a bag yet,, I haven’t but bought some essentials,,,,
Mya bras
V pillow,
Dry shampoo,
Baby wipes,
Comfy clothes , and a few baggy primark vests ,,
Nerves are starting now,,, only 4 more sleeps xxxx

I’m not planning on packing that much really. Just the essentials.
Sports Bras
Comfy zip up jumper
Few nibbles
Maybe a book (haven’t had time to read anything recreationally for a long time)
Wipes.
Gonna get my sister to put French plaits in my hair so I don’t have to think about it for a couple of days… I’m just excited atm but I’ve been really nervous for weeks. I think my brain is somehow blocking the nerves out.
I got tonsillitis about 4 weeks back and had to have antibiotics and when I got rid of that I lost my voice (which I put down to my job- I’m a teacher). However, woke up two days ago with temp sore throat and runny nose. I think part of me is worried I won’t be able to have the op due to the cold and so I think I’m now more worries it won’t happen than it will.

Aww no hope u feel better,, get loads of vitamin c in you, u still have 3 days and I’m sure u will b better b4 Wednesday,, I’m a nurse & wen I’m run down I swear by a berroca in hot water with a sliced lemon,,
Putting plaits in hair is a gud idea,, I’m dreading not being able 2 wash my hair, or even worse the husband doing it! Ha

Two of my friends had their BAs with Mr Traynor. You can’t get a better recommendation than one from a friend.
I’ll try the Berocca and lemon. I’m willing to give anything a go – the runny nose seems better today just the sore throat now.
I had the oddest dream last night. Dreamt it was the morning of the op and I accidently put false tan on. Then I washed it off with soap and realised I wasn’t allows to use soap. I then had breakfast but had wasted so much time with the tan that it was 9am and past the deadline for NBM…
Think it’s coz I’m worried they won’t operate :).
Paula I also have 3 chn but two of them are older 14 and 15 and will happily look after themselves (grandma only lives across the road if they need anything) so only have to think about my youngest. How old are your chn?

My kids are 8, 5 and baby is 9months! My auntie is minding them overnight on Wednesday & my husband is having abit of time off work until I feel better,, im currently on maternity leave so at least I don’t have 2 rush back 2 work, im just worried about the baby as she’s so clingy 2 me & I hope I don’t end up doing more than I shud but the nurse said be practical and don’t lift for first few days,,
I’m having overs due 2 pregnancy and breastfeeding I have enough tissue & iv heard recovery is abit quicker with overs.
I can’t believe it’s on Wednesday,, so scary!!!! Xxx

Aww hope you feel better soon and I am sure you will be fine by Wednesday. My children are 18 16 and 7 so the eldest will each my youngest I just want it done now so I can stop worrying. I have two long days to work and so won’t have time to get everything I need eg v shaped pillows to sleep my partners goning to have to pick me some bits up. Don’t think I am going to get much sleep Tuesday but I am going to deffo enjoy sleeping on my front for the last time in a while ha

So we’ve all got 3 chn as well… it’s the third one that ruins you for good :)…
My other half is also taking a few days off. My three year old is going through a phase were he needs about 10 kisses and big, BIG cuddles before he leaves a room. It’s very cute but I’m concerned he’s going to get upset when I can’t give BIG cuddles. Hopefully it won’t be for long.
It will probably be a perfect opportunity Nicola for your little one to have lots of cuddles with their daddy whilst you recover. I’m sure we are all worrying for nothing- as mothers tend to do. Kids are much tougher than we think x

Yes it was my third that ruined my body ha. do we need to take ID with us on Wednesday ? Can’t wait to throw away my padded bras and get new underwear ????

I don’t know but I’m gonna take s9me just in case. I’m the same. I hate padded bras… they go all funny and twisted after one wash. I have about 20 bras but alternate between two that are actually somewhat comfortable and not misshapen… I can’t imagine being able to wear a lacey bra and not worry when buying Swimwear how ridiculous I’m going to look….

i think abit of time with her dad will do them both gud, he’s really hands on but I’m always ther so let’s c how he is whilst I have a few days resting,, i intend 2 chill with my kindle and crap on the Telly (whether that happens or not we shall c)

What bras did u go for? iv bought the Mya ones as they felt the comfiest & will get m&s sports one once swelling goes down,,,, xxx

I went on Amazon and searched the Macom bras. It threw up a few similar bras so I ordered one of those and it’s super comfy. Need to order another in a slightly larger size just in case and then I’m gonna order what I need afterwards depending on how things are post op. Didn’t want to go daft buying bras when u have no idea what size I will actually be.
I’ve got a load of planning to do for September so I plan on doing that after whilst I recover as it will take my mind off the pain.
You’re right about having ppl to talk to about it as it really does become all you can think about and other ppl get a bit fed up of chatting Bras and scars lol

I think I am driving my partner mad ha talking about boobs ha. I got Macon bra too my friend had mr Tranyor and she reckoned them to me. My plan is to rest up for a week after op as I have a wedding to attend the week after My friend was out after a few days going for meals but I guess everyone’s different. I will also look out for you both on Wednesday but I migh struggle to recognise you Nicola haha

Here’s to hoping that after having 3 kids this will be a walk in the park!haha
Ohh I’m terrible with technology I don’t no how 2 add pic,, I’m 32 with dark hair, if that helps, il look out 4 you both!
I think my husband is sick too, I keep showing him pictures saying “r these too big”, “wud I suit that size” , he’s seen more boobs than enuf these past few weeks! Haha

Hahaha yes I have been the same showing him boobs saying these one are nice at first he was keen to look now he says he’s seen enough lol. He’s taking me on Wednesday and staying with me I hope it’s not to long as it say the wait can be up to six hrs after admittion time

iv heard people r in and out within a few hours it depends on how late he’s running or how u respond 2 anesthetic afterwards,,, iv never been put to sleep so I’m hoping
1- I wake up!!! Haha and 2- I’m not sick so I can be discharged soon after xxx

Yes I have never had a GA and this bit worries me a little but I am a nurse myself and have seen loads of children go to threate and they have been fine. I will just feel better when it’s all over with

I won’t look like my pic anyway ladies. I’m currently a shade of grey/ blue as I’m not allowed to tan and I wear contacts (which I can’t wear on he day) look for someone who looks like ugly Betty and that will be me.
Also ditto on the whole boobs situation. I think I’ve broken my fella because he doesn’t even turn his head when I show him now and he makes like a kind of half approval grunt when I ask his opinion. He can’t wait for mine though lol

Hahaha ugly Betty that made me laugh I will look rough to no tan lashes off and no make up but will all be worth it

I feel exactly the same Nicola. I’ve never had general anesthetic and no idea what I’m gonna be like. Can’t wait to hear how it went for you. I’m sure it will help to settle my nerves reading about you x

Well didn’t sleep so great last night. Mixture of emotions going on and me considering if I actually want a BA… Then wake up this morning totally excited again. Why does everything feel odd at night time?
This time tomorrow you’ll be getting into your paper knickers Nicola and I’ll be wondering how I’m going to survive with no food for the rest of the day lol

I didn’t sleep well either I want to get a god night sleep tonight but bet it doesn’t happen it’s getting very close now can’t stop thinking about it whilst I am at work
