2WPO check – incision problem, anyone relate?

Hey girls,

So I’m just over 2 weeks and had my stitches removed today and there’s a slight problem with my right boob. (You can probably tell in the photo what it is)

I’m not worried as the nurse at Fitzroy was amazing, she called the doctor who examined me, they gave me more antibiotics, took photos for my records and also called Mr Marcelino who said he wants to see me in 2 days (Monday) to check himself.

My right boob is quite hot and the skin like came away apparently when she cleaned it. You can tell the stitching wasn’t as good as my left which looks amazing. I’m being positive about it as things like this can happen.

They said if I get any type of fever, my boob feels hotter that it does now etc. Then I need to call the emergency nurse. Sounds worrying but I’m being positive

Has anyone ever had this sort of problem and what happened?

I’ll also add that they took swabs of my right incision to take to the lab to see if anything will grow. They’ve cleaned it and given me a new antibacterial dressing, so they couldn’t have been any better. They done more than I expected x

Hey. I’m a nurse, it’s quite hard to tell from the photo but what I can see it just looks like it’s opened slightly and like the skin has come away like you said. All you can do is wait for the swabs to come back and take your antibiotics. There’s plenty of things they can do dressing wise to help it heal aswell. Try not to worry I’ve seen far worse. Just try and not touch it xx

Yeah they gave me prescription for 2 lots of antibiotics for 10 days and I did have to pay for them but it was only like £20 xx

Hi Hollie hope you are ok and healing well!
I am having a similar problem, however one of my scabs came off producing a lot of bleeding apparently from a blood pocket behind the scab.
I had swabs taken today and photographs and I need to go back Tuesday.
Just feel like I was doing so well and then took 4 steps back xo

Hey guys, haven’t been on here in ages!

There’s still a small scab and stuff but it’s not as bad as it was, I can like shower and stuff and all good for my holiday on Tuesday. It’s frustating but im on the home stretch.
I’ll try upload a photo of the update xx

I had similar but not as bad as yours at my 1 week check but my rightie is now swollen and sore, nurse didn’t swab or give me antibiotics.

After seeing a few posts like this and poor Jen being so sick too I’m literally bricking it but your post has made me feel better! Thank goodness you were ok and everything is looking fantastic now.
