I seem to be a bit of a serial poster in here but I find reading the posts and conversations sooo helpful!
I am not 3days po and have had my most mobile day yet! Haven’t required any co codomol thank heavens as it was making me really sick but am still taking some paracetamol and ibuprofen for today. Today I managed a shallow bath but couldn’t quite do my hair yet so that will be a task for my other half to help with tonight.
I am absolutely loving the shape that they are starting to take now! They’ll keep changing so I’m trying not to get attached to each stage but I can’t believe how different they are each day so far. This was a big deal for me as I’ve had such low confidence with my body for years and years but chickened out of having the procedure so many times. I’m so glad I have gone through with it now and am so excited to see how they keep changing! Happy to chat to anyone who’s waiting for their experience or anyone who’s further into their journey who has ongoing advice and tips 🙂 hopefully the picture loads with this post x

Hi April, my surgery is booked for the 16th December, I’m having 4oocc overs, I’m 5ft 1, 52kg & size 8/10. I’m so nervous about the pain & how I’ll cope, what I’ll manage to be able to do. Also were you a day case? If so what did you take with you x

Hey Laura! How exciting 🙂 I absolutely agree with everyone who has said to me that pain becomes more manageable after 3 days. It’s still there don’t get me wrong but no where near as painful as the first couple of days, but everyone is different. I stopped taking codeine last night and have been on paracetamol and ibuprofen today and it’s been fine, stock up on those. I was a day case indeed,my admission time was 730am, I was in at 11am and waking up in recovery at about 1.30pm. Went home at about 3pm after some food and a cuppa tea. I actually had a great day and really enjoyed it. I took my slippers, dressing gown and comfy clothes for after. I watched friends on my phone whilst waiting to go in. That was pretty much all I needed. Good luck, so excited for you! Xx
