Heyhey its been 3 days since my BA, already im happy and standing up taller 🙂 Just thought id do a little update and ask for some advise on the annoying stomach swelling.
id say yday i felt like id had whiplash my neck, shoulders, top of arms and ribs are feeling bruised to the touch. But nothing unbearable. I’ve been given anti biotics, paracetmoal and tramadol so far only been taking anti biotics twice a day as ment to and paracetmoal if i need it and one tramadol at night to help me sleep through. When i stood up this morning i felt soo much lighter on my chest and can see that the swelling has gone to my stomach lovely sight :/ any advise how i can shift it quicker just felt odd. My stitches are soo itchy atm trying my best to not touch so im just gently rubbing in circular movement onto of the bra seems to be working . Hope everyone is doing well with their recovery xxx
Hey hun! Sounds like you are doing well with the post pain as wow i was sooooo bad first three days!! Only started feeling so much better yest and today (day 4 and 5) as everything Is now tolerable 🙂
All the pains you are experiencing are all normal signs that everything is healing properly. Omg the stomach bloating is awful isn’t it. I went in the day of my normal op the same weight and came out 4 pounds heavier the same day. I asked nurse about what the hell happened to my belly and she said it was normal as in theatre they put so much fluid in you through IV drip like all the meds etc and that it will reduce gradually. Each day I’ve been losing a pound and now weigh my normal weight again but my belly is still swollen from the side so more is to come off as it’s all the swelling and fluid from your boobies moving downwards. And I’ve barely been eating but it’s slowly been going! Also I hadn’t been number two in 5 days so I took senakot yest and yay I’ve finally gone today!!
My incisions are itchy and been burning the last two days but at least that shows they are healing! Stiffness is so much better aswell! Can’t wait till Tuesday to get this tight strapping off! I went in car today and they still hurt!!
Hiya Jennifer,
Glad you’re feeling better now! Just thought I’d ping a note to say… Although I don’t have any magic remedies to make the swelling go quicker – I thought I’d reassure you that after the op I felt fat and gross BUT, I’m now 9 days post op and it’s the first day that ice felt like my normal figure is back and my stomach is back to flat :)! I’ve literally not done anything to make it go back, but I did avoid carby foods which I thought might add to the bloated-ness! Also… It’s inly been 9 days, so… It’s doesn’t take that long to ease off – a small price to pay for nice boobies 🙂 xx
@Zoe Glad your feeling better and more comfortable 🙂 @Jackie
I was laughing yday at my stomach looked and felt so odd, I’ve been eating loads of fruit and Veg and drinking only wAter. Looking forward to the swelling to go down my macom bra feels like its digging into my belly when i sit. All worth it for the boobs though excited to get stitches out and have a proper look 😀 xxx
@missjennie when I first had my op I ballooned massively and had the same as you (my sports bra digging into my stomach), I was like…. Fml, I’ve been working out hardcore for the last few months to get in shape and felt like I ballooned over night!
Straight after my op when my stomach was no longer flat… I was like… Oh gawd… And didn’t want to wear anything tight… Which ruined it a little bit, but now all the bloatedness is gone… I feel great :)! Definitely worth it though :)! When do your stitches come out? I have dissolvable ones – just had them trimmed one week PO! Xx
@Jackie Its a nightmare the bra digging in isn’t it, fortunately its already going down the swelling. Im finding today too good to be true, no pain no bruised feeling and boobs don’t feel as numb 🙂 i go back on wed in the eve to get stitches out earlier than i thought it would be since only had the op Thursday night, i can’t wait to see them though i haven’t took the bra off once I’ve only peed down top of my bra and im happy so are. How are your scars feeling and looking? Does it feel weird when they mess with the stitches? Xxx
