3 days post op – help!! Started by: Kimberley

    I had 375cc understand done on Friday. My left breast is a lot more painful than the right.
    I stand up and my wound site stings an unbelievable amount.
    On top of that I have not slept in 2 days because of the left breast pain.
    The swelling is more than the dressing allows. What do I do???

    When is your post op appointment with nurse? As she will let you know how the wound is looking! It is normal for one breast to feel more painful than the other darl..honestly I still have this and coming up for 2 weeks PO. However mine was more the incision than the breast..if it’s discomfort then I wouldn’t worry but just make sure your bra isn’t digging in to tightly as that can be a cause of discomfort but if it’s really painful like really, really bad then you could ring up the nurse. It sounds normal to me but maybe you are just swelling up, are you taking anti inflammatorys? x

    Its usually pretty normal for one to be bigger etc.. if ur swelling and pain is really bad and getting worse then u need to get it checked just to be on safe side.. i had the same problem only mine swelled out of nowhere at 1 week po.. i had mine checked and now 3 days on its going down luckily xx

    Hi girls thanks for the replies.
    It is more the wound sit but breathing is hard on the left side. I can’t take normal breaths and thinking a nurse appointment is needed.
    I’m going to call the number to speak to a nurse shortly as this was never warned 🙁 x

    Hiya Hun I had mine yesterday at right from start had sharp pains in right one, am hoping it’s the drains that have caused it though as I don’t think they were in right that side, keep monitoring it I am going to do that with an ice pack on I think xx

    I could do with an ice pack today my left breast is so sore and swollen beyond comfort!!
    Why did I do this to myself!?! I haven’t slept since Friday x

    Aww Huns that is rubbish but I do feel your pain literally ! I hav been sleeping ok but I have been taking all my drugs and tablets to knock me out at night do think that is helping. I have thought the same but give it a few weeks and we will probably be delighted haha xX
