    Hi all, I just want to post about my experience of having a ba as I don’t think I was quite prepared for it.

    I’ve had 325cc HP unders with Mr Kazzazi in doncaster on Sunday.

    They were ready for me as soon as I got there so after seeing the nurse and surgeon again I had my operation 50 minutes after arriving.

    I don’t remember a thing from the opp itself but I woke up in floods of tears and could not stop. I’m not a crier in the slightest so this really shocked me and it was uncontrollable, apparently the anesthetic can do that to you.

    I’d read that people usually stay for around an hour after so thought I’d be home really early. This was not the case, I physically couldn’t keep my eyes open for about 3 hours after the opp, the toast they make you eat made me feel sick and was really hard to swallow, and I tried to get up a number of times to go home but kept coming over really dizzy and sick. I came out of surgery at around 2.20pm and didn’t leave until 6.30pm.

    The pain each day is getting better but the first night was not very pleasant, I don’t sleep on my back so found that really difficult and now my back ache keeps me awake more than anything from sleeping sat up.

    My boob’s don’t hurt at all when sat still just when I move, the right is getting better and starting to drop but left is still very tight, each day I get more movement in my arms.

    I 100% don’t regret having it done and don’t want this to be seen as a scare story, just think I would have been better prepared if I knew it could be like this rather than thinking I’d be sat up happily eating toast and leaving an hour later. It’s clearly not like this for everyone as I’ve seen lots of people taking pictures in their hospital gowns, but I didn’t even have the energy to look at them never mind take pictures.

    I’ll post some before and after pics once I’ve had my strapping off, sorry about the essay but hope at least one person finds it useful.

    Hi Jay,
    Thanks for posting your story.
    It is strangely reassuring actually. The closer mine gets (a week today) the more nervous I’m getting and reading this has helped actually.
    So thank you and I hope your healing continues to go well.

    Hi Jay

    I had my BA last Monday and back at work this week. I totally get how you feel as I felt exactly the same – was not prepared for the process at all. You’re told everything but nothing really prepares you until you’re in it. You’re lucky you were seen straightaway as my admission time was 10am but I didn’t go down to theatre until after 4pm! Got home, 1030. Like you, I don’t regret anything but it has been challenging definitely. It gets better though, so keep perservering and call your PC with any concerns 🙂

    @Jo, glad you found it reassuring, good luck with your surgery!

    @Shelly
    , that’s exactly how I felt, glad I got seen quickly then or could have been much worse, glad to hear it gets better though, slowly starting to feel like they are mine! Ha

    @Whitney
    what cc and positioning did you have? Did you struggle after the sedation or were you OK? Cannot wait to get it off and stand up straight, just need to make sure the bras I got are big enough.
