I had been staying at the ibis hotel which is literally less than a minuets drive from preston first choice hospital so I got there exactly on my admission time of 1pm. The hotel is also a minuets drive from a 24hour Asda with McDonalds so I would recommend it for anyone needing to stay in a hotel after their surgery. The hospital looks more like a house from the outside than it dose somewhere you go for surgery. As soon as I arrived I was shown straight to my privet room with en-suit by a lovey nurse who was extremely calming. I had been crying none stop since 5 that morning from nevers and thinking I was selfish for having my boobs done whilst having a young (5 years old) daughter but the nurse really helped in calming me down and reassuring me (I never ever cry so no idea where all the tears came from!). After I had got changed into my gown, paper pants and stocks a number off different nurses came in to go though details and check my blood pressure ect. Then Dr Mounir himself came in to draw on me and confirm what implants we were going for (325cc mod+ unders).
At about 3 a nurse popped her head round the door and said they were ready for me, it shocked me that it was so soon which set my tears off yet again! I said bye to my partner and walked to the room attached to the main theatre room and got on the bed, I wasn’t prepared for how medical and bright the room looked and I could hear the staff in the main theatre room which freaked me out even more. I ended up in a right state saying I didn’t want to go through with it. In the end I closed my eyes and tried to block everything out, before I knew it I felt dizzy and by time the nurse said ‘see you when..’ I was fast asleep.
What felt like 2 minutes later (apparently it was 30mins) I was waking up in another room attached to the main theatre room. I felt sleepy but looked straight down at my new additions (Dr Mounir dosnt use strapping) and was instantly happy! After about 5mins I was wheeled back to my room and had to move myself across to the bed that was in my room, this didn’t hurt at all. Then my partner was allowed in who helped me to my water, tea and toast. After my blood pressure had been took every half hour and once it got to 6.15 I was allowed to leave. I felt a tad dizzy when I first stood up but had no pain.
I am now 5 days post op and my boobs feel more of a constant ache than pain. However my lower back is killing me! I think it is because I’m not used to sleeping upright 🙁 I had a reaction to the pain killers and antibiotics I was given my the hospital to take every few hours so after checking with the nurse I stopped taking both. My arm went numb, face had pins and needles, I felt confused/spaced out and dizzy so taking them was just not worth it for me.
I am already very happy with the results 🙂
I’m 20 years old, a size 6 and wore 32b in Victoria secret ultra padded bras, ,however Dr Mounir said I was more like a A 🙁 lol.
