Well after a couple of tough days due to bruising and feeling swollen, today I am feeling a lot better, still bruised, but not very painful and boobies are feeling a LITTLE bit more like my own lol. I think its a mix of relief after having my 1 week check-up yesterday and everything was fine and buying a bigger size bra which doesn’t dig in, or maybe day 8 is a significant day for the healing to kick in. Anyways feeling much better today and boobies are not feeling so tight. I like them, we are becoming friends I think hahha
they look amazing! how are you moving around the house ok? how was it at night?!!!
Looking good Becki! Can’t get over how natural they look! Xxx
Thanks girls, I am so pleased with the shape and size, they are exactly as I hoped they would look, so this is all credit to Dr Traynor for listening and advising me on what would suit me best, he is a fab surgeon.
@ohitsaymarie Anna, moving around the house has been fine, but for the first week my breasts were very, very tender, swollen, stretched and i did not want to knock them or damage them in anyway. They kinda feel like they are made of porcalein and could break very easily, or drop off haha. So I didn’t do any house work or anything strenuous at all, make sure you have someone looking after you for at least a week. Night time is cope-able most of the time. My bum gets sore and my back aches, but mostly I can cope with it, I got a back rest from Argos and it is a fantastic thing, deffo worth investing in one, I couldn’t sleep without it. How long till you have your op, its soooo exciting, I found this forum really helpful and it prepared me well for what to expect. xx
Danielle @danielle101 I feel so much better today, I am so relieved. Are you continuing to heal well hun, are you able to lift your arms up over your head yet lol, it drives me mad that I can’t reach up to get glasses off the top shelf in my kitchen haha
I’m off to enjoy the sun in my garden, boobs covered of course xx
29th may! ah I want it to come sooner!
Looking so amazing! The man is a genius haha xx
Anna you wont believe how quickly it comes round, but I know how excited I was. Once i had made my mind up I wanted it done straight away. I managed to get a cancellation appoinment so it meant I had my op 3 weeks earlier than planned xx
Oh becki up must be so pleased! They look so natural already! Dr traynor really is amazing isn’t he!
I found most of the tightness around the sides started to ease off from around days 10-14!
Are you sleeping ok etc? Such a pain sleeping upright isn’t it haha xx
@nickliverpool123 Hi Nick, I am really pleased with how they look, I can’t wait for all the bruising to go and the incisions to heal ( they are very itchy) now its just the process of my body adjusting to having them, the numbness is such a weird feeeling and my nipples are becoming sensitive. I am looking forward to the day when they just feel normal and like they are my boobs. But today I definitley feel they are healing, so I just got to take each day as it comes.
How are you? Are yours starting to settle down now, how is the healing going for you?
Yea it’s deffo the right mind set, every day has been totally different in my experience! My numbness is still there but not as bad and a bit softer!
I’m ok, trying to stay positive and tbh not look at them too much. I’m trying to keep them tucked away in my sports bra but it’s hard haha! I keep looking at before and after piks and they Deffo help like 🙂
Hard work being impatient isn’t it haha! Xx
Hey Becki, so pleased to read that you’re feeling better. They look so natural to which is great. Bruising still looks painful though. I don’t have hardly any bruising but my boobs are covered in what looks like tiny cat scratches all over… they’re not actually scratches though I thought maybe stretch marks but I have plenty of them from pregnancy and look nothing like it either lol I’m slightly baffled lol. I hope you’re healing will continue to improve now 🙂 xxx
We are all healing, but everyones journey is unique. It’s only after the operation that I realised what a massive decision it is to have a BA and there are so many things that could go wrong (scares the hell out of me) but there are also so many people that have it done and are extremely happy with the results.
I love reading everyone else’s experiences and I really appriciate it when girls come back on to the forum months later to let us know how they are progressing, its really helpful to hear from others.
