Was 34B hardly filled the cup, awaiting wait size I am as only 5dpo but was told by surgeon I should be a D/DD
    Hello,
Just thought I’d post about my experience with MYA
I have always been self conscious of my boobs since I was young and I’ve finally done something about it and I couldn’t be happier!
I know you girlies are full of question just as well as I was with the whole procedure so I’ll try and cut a long story short.
I started off with consultations in the Bristol clinic where I met Fay (my consultant) which guided me through everything and listened to what I wanted and advised the best surgeon for me who turned out to be Mr Marcellino (who is great!). I then had other consultations for a blood test, MRSA and observations just to check I was completely healthy for the procedure. Once they came through clear I had a chance to book my surgery date and the countdown begun.
The day finally came (05.09.2018 still only 5dpo) I arrived at 7.30am was taken to my room within 10 minutes, Shortly after a nurse came in and just done simple observations with temp/bp/pulse. (Which gets done a few times after surgery too) also a nurse will ask you a few questions about your health and the same questions will be followed by your surgeon and a Doctor.
Not long after that it was my time to go under the knife…
The theatre staff made me completely at ease they was so nice and chatty and before you knew it I was asleep, the cannula didn’t hurt at all and being put to sleep just made me nod off like I was really tired.
Next thing you know I’m awake shocked with how quick it felt that I didn’t believe they was already done, I woke up with the shakes so had the hot air blanket which was lovely! I was then taken back to my room which I was given toast and tea and told to drink loads of water. I felt totally fine after my operation and was able to go to the toilet 10 minutes later. I’m normally a proper drama queen so I’m surprised how well I handled everything.
About 3 hours after my surgery it was time to take my drains out (take note not all surgeons use these) I got myself worked up over nothing when the nurse explained what she was going to do and felt like keeping the drains in me haha, but in all honestly it doesn’t hurt at all it’s just a tugging feeling and they are out in seconds with a plaster put over them and your strapping on top (this is also if you have strapping as not all surgeons use this either)
Then it was my time to leave, i was given antibiotics and pain killers before I left which the pain killers you only need to take if you need to, ive not taken any of mine as I’ve not been through any pain, I’ve only taken paracetamol at night as you do get ache in your back and a numb bum so a V pillow or pressure pillow is a must!
But it’s such a quick procedure I was surprised with how well everything went, I know everyone’s experience won’t be like mine, but I came around quickly and was able to mobilise myself. I made sure I rested for two days and ate lots of protein and fibre food with plenty of fluids.
I’m currently 5dpo and have no problems with my strapping the only thing I don’t like with my strapping is that it’s hiding my boobs so I can’t see them until it comes off haha. Just don’t over do yourself even if you feel like you can do things just rest and try to have little walks to get your blood circulating, oh and fluids and walking also helps with bowel movements it may be embarrassing but a side effect of the whole procedure which is common is constipation i was the unlucky one and got it but weirdly didn’t get belly ache or bloating which I heard a lot of girls have suffered from, but I bought dulcoease which is easily bought in pharmacies and it worked straight away so my body is now back to normal!
I hope I’ve tried to answer most of your questions or helped put some of you at ease but please don’t get yourself worked up! Plus the MYA staff are amazing they will make you feel so comfortable. I’ll happily try and answer any questions for those of you that are awaiting your ops and are worried.
Can’t wait till 2 days for my strapping to come off and will post my results. Good luck to those who’s getting theirs done you won’t regret it! I feel comfortable with myself already and feeling better in myself and I’m still wrapped up in strapping!

Thank you that helped so much, having mine done on the 21st of September. One thing I’m struggling with is knowing what bras to get other than Macom, what did you get? X

I’ve been feeling totally fine now 7dpo had my 1wpo check yesterday had my strapping off and stitches out and both didn’t hurt at all. I’ve not suffered with any pain still but just a little back ache which I can cope with. But everything is looking perfect and I can’t wait for them to perform into shape.
I bought the MYA bras they fasten at the front and cotton with adjustable straps I bought 2 for £65 which includes postage and they’re really comfy.
    Will post pics xx
The pics of me in my MYA bra the left side is now and the right side is before.
